@xSkullKrushax, a base 10 measurement system is brilliant. yes it is possible to remember how many ounces are in a pound or how many pounds are in a ton but do you remember every imperial conversion?(like how many nautical miles are in a mile?)

i much prefer a prefix to say what order something is (...kilo vs hecto vs deca...) & it can be compared to powers of 10 as well (...10^3 vs 10^2 vs 10^1...). It is easy to teach and doesnt take much to remember if you dont actually measure a lot.
