This is my first time seeing one of your videos and what I love about it is that you maximize the beauty of each chord change. Some players on YT just love to show off how quickly or amazingly they play...but I feel like you play notes with a purpose. Rock on.
thanks, Rd, for a thoughtful and inspiring comment. the songs i perform are usually favorites that have real feeling and meaning to me, and apparently that comes through. thanks for listening...
Thanks, surfer joe. I love the Beach Boys, and will do a version of one coming up. Been busy recording a new cd, lots of house repairs and work/family. Have some tunes planned for some new vids when I get a couple free nights.
I think the other hit by them was 'Satisfaction'. Wasn't McCartney the one with the big lips........?
thanks spaceman. yes, it's a 1954 gibson falcon that was collecting dust for years in a store i worked out. turns out it was the prototype for the 'benson' amps developed by howard roberts.
Killer version Joe. All the chords you play amaze me. after hearing you, when I play this it sounds like a Merle Haggard song.lol!! fine job my friend I love it. Bud
Not digging the harsh tone quality. Needs more Legado treatment.
Also, the song is ruined by the over playing.
—the over ornamentation just destroys the ballad. You don't need to guild the Lily.
You didn't seem to pick up on the lessons of Miles Davis. Less is more.
RH is rigid too.

If I didn't read the title saying "Yesterday" I would be a bit confused as to which song this was.
Well played, but it seems awfully overdone and much too decorated.
