@WikiSorcerer probably because its very low budget and cartoon network can pay like all other filler crap. while Loonatics was hated due of some "hardcorefans" of looney tunes claiming "it ruined the franchise" and because the cartoon by itself was high end (lots of voice stars.. and good quality in animation)

Ive seen a few episodes of this show and for an action comedy its not bad( the best ones are either avatar the last airbender or teen titians even if the ladder is a bit pun heavy) i dont think the comedy is looney tunes good but its not a bad show as a whole

A very corny theory could be that she already HAD that kind of power since "Acmetropolis" had been hit by the contaminated wave of that radioactive meteorite which gave the Loonatics their powers. And for another corny theory, I guess being Struck TWICE by the same Lightning she had little mainipulation over gave her that extra Boost of Weather Controlling prowesss, charging every cell in her gorgeous body... along with the Crazies.
