  • oh i want :(

  • Nice looking knife! I just went to Fallkniven's webpage, thinking "Well, I think I'll just buy one",but changed my mind when I saw the price... 640 dollars is just ridicules, considering I actually wanna use this and might end up damaging it!

  • @DeathstalkerScorpio

Thats buying it direct, its available cheaper elsewhere. bear in mind the quality of the steel/ fit and finish etc...and the curly birch, which is bar none the best I have seen.

    paul

  • Will it rust? Did it have a light coating of polish or oil/ wax on it when you got it?

  • @100trueneutral Not sure what the lamination steel is on the new Cobalt steel series. In the case of the regular VG10 laminated blades the sides are 420J2 steel which is quite stain resistant.

In my long time experience with the SK1 rust is not an issue as well as any of the FK knives. Fallknivens do not come with any coating unless you buy the blackened versions.

    Enjoy!

  • That's one beautiful knife!

  • Very nice blade!!! Have you had a chance to take it out and use it yet. The FLK blades are top shelf from everything I have read in forums, reviews and seen in videos. That blade shape is simply classic. Very nice pointy tip...is that a "clip point"? Please do a follow up or a demo. Merry Christmas!!!

  • @drumgodtim That is a clip point, actuallythe blade shape is as yousaid classic: it's a bowie knife, straight out of the old American West!

  • Beautiful knife. I wonder if the cobalt steel is prone to chipping due to it being so hard. Looks like a very expensive knife. I would probably be retiscent to use a knife this beatiful in a hard use task like heavy chopping or batonning. What do you think?

  • @nextexhale Yes its a great knife. I haven't had a chance to try out the colbalt steel too much, but it s little harder than the VG10. Chipping can be an issue with any steel, i don't think fallknivens laminates are any more or less prone to it than any other, but you certainly get great edge holding at that hardess. Its certainly tough enough for chopping/batoning

  • That knife looks great, Where did you get it.

  • Man, that is a nice looking knife!!!

  • looks like a real workhorse!

  • @bushcraftourway Looks like it could dispatch a work horse.
