Nice man date at the Ramada!! LOL what can ya do!! It's all part of the adventure. You had said that you ran into a lot of issue with the bikes on the road. Would you still recommend that KLR 650 or would you go with something else? I'm hoping to buy another bike in march and I'm looking at an adventure bike but not sure what to get. I need to be at or under 4k.

@YoungAmericanOutback Honestly, if I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't even give the KLR a second look...it's a great putting around town bike, good for a lil spontaneous off road jaunt. It's not build for that kinda punishment, it's cheap, underpowered and poorly made..That bike really ruined that trip for me..I would suggest getting a Vstrom 650 or find an old Honda Transalp.
