  • hmmmmmm

  • he recembles him pretty much, even the voice,

    thats amazing

  • fat hitler

  • A very good impression!! Its a pity that its only Hardy! Where was Laurel? :)

  • Wow has it really been two years?

  • not a complete impersonation, but hey its a valiant try.

  • Who the heck is the fat Hitler guy? This frustrates me.

  • He may be bigger than Ollie, but he sure does look and sound like him!

  • wow..this is so retarded.

  • how dare u do this ! you disrespecting individual ! Your just a fake fat guy !

  • Nothing wrong with the video, but it's not described correctly. Please re-label it to show that it is an impersonator.

  • @dfarmbrough done. Thanks for the catch!

  • @cainster Thanks. People who like Laurel and Hardy, like me, have no objection to impersonators, but I think we don't like it if we think we're going to see Ollie in person and it's someone else. I am obliged to you for changing it, thank you!

  • Wwho is this burke? Not a patch on the real Olie. The real Olie would of got a much bigger crowd.

  • Who is this ass hole? Not a patch on the real Olie.

  • Is this Oliver Hardy if he was gay?

  • They wouldn't of had cd payers in those days

  • He looks about the right profile. If only he'd perfected the voice and done the Ollie laugh.

  • He look like Richard Griffiths of Withnail & I and Harry Potter fame, but I still think it was a good impression and all these critics can go and take a running jump.

  • WTF, he does sound alittle gay to be honest !......is this suppose to be Ollie before gastric bypass ?

  • looks like he has gained some weight

  • i thought he was brilliant!

  • It's not just the mediocre impersonation. Why did this gentleman have to make the great Mr. Hardy sound so gay! Sorry...not appropos. Besides, his voice is all wrong as others have commented.

  • I think it was a good impersonation, no one can actually sound like the original person. Maybe they can come close like this gentleman. I think people are just jealous because they were not the ones doing it, and this guy is getting the attention he deserves. Way to go!

  • why are you taking the piss you ass holes

  • ... grausam ... fuck the yankees ... Mr. Stanley Laurel is british, not american! ...

  • Embarrassing.

  • Is that Oliver Hardy's Son?

  • Terrible.

  • My daughter was the heaviest baby ever born at Milledgeville

  • but... where is stanley? ;))

  • Oliver Hardy was not an idiot, this impression IS!

Doesn't even come close to reality!

  • not a good impression

  • This guy is WAY TOO FAT, even for Oliver

Hardy! Hardy was heavy but nimble enough to do his difficult slapstick stunts.

This 400# gentleman can't get out of

his own way. Sorry, but as a fan of L&H

for 50+ years, there's NOBODY who can

do them justice, (although Dick Van Dyke

could do a pretty good Stan Laurel).

  • @4freespeech

"Can't get out of his own way". LOL lovely turn of phrase!

  • Not too bad of an impression, should dye his hair though to fit the part a bit better, and the voice really didnt sound right to me.

Overall though not bad and they picked a damn good song that Laurel and Hardy did :)

  • is that really hardy??

  • ofcourse not -.-'

  • @Webkinzrocks400

Yes, that is the real Oliver Hardy. Doesn't he look great for a 109-year-old?

    *faceplant*

  • Milledgeeviile's Oconee River has one sad legacy? Oliver Norvell(Babe)Hardy's brother Sam drowned

in a swimming accident in that river.

  • Thanks for this tribute. Congratulations to the actor for a very passable Mr Hardy!

  • This is a nice video, but it isn't really Oliver Hardy, who had died long before this was made. It would be nice to see the actor properly credited for an agreeable impersonation.

  • Sorry.. I am not impressed.

  • Very, very impressive indeed. I'd watch a performance like this anytime. Four out of four stars for "Mr. Hardy".

  • Dude! He is good! Great impression :D

  • 'Dixie' is Dixie Haygood, a.k.a. Annie Abbot, who lived in Milledgeville for awhile and is buried in Milledgeville's Memory Hill Cemetery. She was a performer on stage and rumored to have 'special abilities,' when in reality she was just a very clever magician and incredibly smart woman for her time. Played by Ruby Werts, 'Dixie' had appeared about two hours earlier on the same stage as Hardy.

  • My apologies for the shaky video...I'm no video journalist -- yet -- and I wasn't even sure if my camera would pick any of this up, even if I was standing a few feet away from the speaker.

Video taken with a Sony Cybershot DSC-H2 purchased off of Ebay about a year or so ago.

The Oconee River Greenway Riverwalk is located in Central Georgia, Baldwin County, Milledgeville. Milledgeville was the capital of Georgia before it was moved to Atlanta.

Riverwalk took more than a decade to create.
