  • Lol. In the second problem, the NMT angle one, he could have just figured out that any inscribed angle is half of its arc which was 80º, and that would lead him to the 40º angle he was looking for.

  • how bout, 10% of 1710 is 171 so do a little subtraction, and with a little bit of logic, you will come to E, your way is good too. if the test wasn't timed.

  • nice teaching

  • God, I hate math. I love english, history, and a little science, but GOD I suck at math...

  • sure. i'm currently building a site to make my tutorials available for students. as soon as i have it, i'll let you know.

  • execuse me,, i didn't get # 6, i think it suppuse to be 1475

  • you meant problem #5, but the correct answer is $1500. double check your solution or consult with your math teacher. thanks for taking the time to post a comment though.

  • Hmm, i get the same response as wadeD07, probably miscalculated something.Anyway you have no idea how much your tutorial helped me! Thanks!

    ~Cheers~

  • i'm not sure, but i think this might be the problem you and wadeD07 have:

14% decrease of the new tax is NOT equivalent to 14% increase to the old tax. so if you took 86% 1710 to get your answer, that's incorrect. the correct approach is to take 114% of the old tax "x" and make that equals to 1710, the way is shown on the video.

i greatly appreciate your feedback. i will make this clarification next time; it seems to confuse students. thanks.

  • wow that helped sooo much

  • Thank you so much! keep it coming. i need serious math tutoring before i take the SAT in June. thanks again.

  • thank you for the tutorial. this is very helpful.
