Adelaide Railway Station - the most under-rated station in the nation - BEAUTIFUL - sadly now apart of the "casino mentality" which swept Australian State Govts in the 80's/90's - but what remains is worth a look!
Thanks for the comments. I only spent one day in and around Adelaide back in October 2006, and Adelaide Railway Station just happened to be across the road from my hotel
Not as good as Flinders St Station or Spencer St Station (Southern Cross) in Melbourne

i remember the days when it was a un-controlled station, no ticket needed to get in or out.
