  • impressive range. seems like he was trying to imitate inflection instead of actually portraying it. he was trying to be elton john singing the song instead of the rocketman singing the song. mistake. elton gets into the character of the song, not as himself. you can't fake inflection.

  • I have to disagree. I listen to a lot of Jon Mclaughlin and a lot of Elton John. This is Jon's voice and he's not imitating anyone. I think he very much makes the song his own, and it's gorgeous. And I'm a musician as well.
