For those who feel it's selfish to retain this home as a private residence, then they should offer the owners enough money to be willing to sell it. Then open it up as a museum or bed and breakfast.

No. The house where the murders took place on Second Street became a bed and breakfast. The house in this video (Maplecroft) is still a private home.
