Where do the IDF artillery pieces deploy before they move out to attack civilians in Lebanon or Gaza? Where do the IDF reservists gather before being shipped to the front? In cities and towns?

The artillery is deployed in remote locations so they can keep it hidden. They do not deploy artillery in civilian populated towns/cities. As for the patriots I am unsure where they are deployed, but it would make sense to deploy them in heavily populated areas as they are a defensive weapon against missles, and would serve no purpose in the desert. And since civilian areas seem to be the only places Hezbollah want to target, I'd say the Patriots are best served there.
