  • That's the scene where I fell in love with Branagh!!!!

  • my fav scene - makes me cry...

  • Oh how I love this scene; he says these lines so naturally and totally convincing - all the emotion is there in his eyes; one of my very favorites moments in the play. Just watching these scenes on here, makes me long to see my film again...I have only watched it now about 30 times; should keep a count. I can't get enough of Ken's Hamlet....magnificent!

  • i LOOOVE this scene!!

  • Oh my God, he is so gifted! This almost made me cry... what an extraordinary actor he is!

  • There is something about Kenneth Branagh that lifts me up whenever he speaks, and yet I cried, I actually cried after watching this, I laughed, and I stared in awe at this guy who can do Shakespeare its rightful justice.

Seriously, what is it about Kenneth Branagh? HOW DOES HE DO THIS?!?!?!

  • My dear ilovemuchado, he's born TO BE Hamlet, it was in his destiny, in his nature.

  • Yes, that's the question I've always asked myself! How DOES he do it??? Not just the voice alone or the way of speaking or the eyes or the face: all these together are moving and powerful with a quiet kind of power. Brilliant. Branagh is brilliant.

  • He breaks my heart!

  • Sure. And pigs can fly.

  • On the other hand, he is an actor, pure & simple. Just happens to be the kind not often found and may not be appreciated as he ought. And, being a director as well, he uses music to complement the drama. Good theatre.

"If music be the food of love, play on!" wrote the Bard. And I think he believed in the power of music, not to rape, but to throw light upon the language.

  • this is sooo good, I wanna watch this movie.

  • Oh my goodness! I LOVE THIS SCENE!! Thank you thank you!

  • Since no man knows AUGHT (not what) of what he leaves. 'aught'= ownership/in any degree or respect.

Matthew 6:27 Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? 10:28 Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul...29 Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father.

  • Thank you...

  • @jackhoffmaster123 lol, I tried to find that quote about worrying like 8 years ago but couldn't. matt 6:27.

    also, double nigger

  • The 4 hours version is better, I know there´s the short version of 2 hours around internet, but it miss a lot of scenes and a lot of the plot. Though I have heard this movie was really 5 1/2 hours, but the official movie is 4 hours, on DVD. Gret job indeed.

  • Let be. This is Hamlet's answer to his question of To be or not to be.

  • This was, for me, the most moving part of the play as well as the wonderful branagh film-cheers.

  • Thanks to uploading!

    Amazing...Emotional...Awesome.

    Perfect performance, honor to him

  • I love this bit. He speaks it with emotions, he speaks so beautifully!!!!!!! ahhhhhh i love this quote!
