US Universities may be richer economically, but the wealth of knowledge at most British Universities is enormously larger than any US University. After all Britain is as large as the largest American state.

UK universities need to do a better job in terms of exploting the benefits of websites such as YouTube. It's actually embarrasing how technologically backwards we are when compared to the American universities.

Stanford has over 500 videos uploaded to YouTube, MIT has 900 videos and Berkley has 400, to name just three of many. I appreciate we don't have the same kind of funding, but we're starting to like like a bunch of confused luddites.

That is very true and its something that British universities are working on, but how many of their videos have over 70,000 hits within a week or two of being uploaded - answer: very very few!

Technologically backward ? Some Comedy channels have more videos than those you mention, does it mean they are "Technologically" Advanced. Youtube is nothing compared to all the connections British Universities have, Commonwealth, EU, European, Etc. Americans Universities care to attract teenagers for their funding and therefore depend on Youtube.

Please do not degrade Cambridge by comparing it with American universities.
