thing is, looking at gay marriage won't help you to decide if a woman and her dog wants to get married. giving marriage to gay people does not cause any relevant drawbacks to society. will marriage between a woman and a dog cause any relevant drawbacks? I don't know. but you can't look at gay marriage to decide that. these things have to be weighed on their own merit.
So, the natural extion would be that Blacks or Latino can serve in the military or eran degrees or "do ... things for our country" but just don't allow them the same protection under the law. Where does it stop, and why?

In a previous century, Mormons protested the restriction to one spouse and attempted to redefine marriage, but America rightfully refused to give in. More recently, homosexuals have complained about the gender restriction and have sought to once again redefine marriage, but we must forever stand our ground.
hmm, last time i checked, interracial marriage was ILLEGAL until 1967. so yes, the government has "redefined" marriage. & it seems as though that's working out just fine.
& in terms of polygamy, it will not/cannot be legalized because it's a RELIGIOUS practice.

Other groups like NAMBLA would even like the government to eliminate the age restriction, and I'm sure there is some sick pervert out there who wants to marry his sister...but again, we mustn't give in. There is simply no justification for government to promote or legitimize any relationship other than the union between one man and one woman. This is the cornerstone of our society and to pretend that any of these alternative versions is equivalent to true marriage is offensive and immoral.

I don't believe in god and your f-ing religion shouldn't have anything to do with my right to enter into marriage with the woman I love.
I could care less about the bible. I will spit on the bible and watch it burn.
The bible also says not to eat shrimp and pork...do you do that?
