his fighting style is different here, he fights like Palpatine. watch the other fights and you will notice, hes very hunched down and fluid here, in his other fights hes locked in and standing tall.
...And that arguement is why I wrote my own Star Wars universe branching off during the Battle of Coruscant. Clone Wars goes from this black and white propaganda that is the TV show to something as morally grey as... well, I can't think of something. Oh, that arguement looked fun. Wish I had been in it.
4. Finally you have convinced me that their isnt any 1 provoker of the Clone Wars. The Republic was corrupt, even if it wasn't its fault (Sidious), and the Sepertist did have a right to leave. However i do still believe that the Sepertist were preparing to go to all out war, despite the Clone Army being a secret from most people. And the sepertist leaders deserved their (quick) slaughter for their inability to see the big picture. That unity is better then division, and that evil surounded them.
3. The story of star wars is good vs evil. Good and "light" go together, Evil and "dark" go together. The Jedi ARE the light side, they are the heroes, the Sith are the villians. They are opposites like that. George lucas wrote star wars as the Jedi being good. This isnt my personal observation, look at any star wars video where Lucas is talking about star wars and somewhere he will say something along this path. Im pretty sure this is accepted by like 99% of SW fans.

4 (continued). Funny the quote at the top of the history section of that page is anakin talking about the Sepertist razing a planet themselves.
If you click the link that website gave, you will see that a local militia was trying to free their planet from Sepertist rule...
5. Speaking of sepertist rule, Utapau (i mentioned this before but you declined to acknowledge it) despite being nuetral, was invaded and held hostage by the Sepertist.
3. It isnt self preservation, its greed. Greed that is more then the average persons. Greed that makes you want to do things like invade and heavily disrupt peoples lives just so you can have more money even if you dont need to grow and expand like the TF was doing.
4. The Sepertist, before the war started, were planning on constructing the DEATH STAR. That is the ultimate planet killer. And on the wookiepedia page, it says delta-zero was used to get at entrenched sepertist positions, thats war.
1. Defending against Pirates fine. However They didn't need an invasion force. They didn't need all that firepower to conquer weak planets and put the people into camps. And im sure they showed restraint when putting the sick and old and young into the camps. Im sure that they were simply allowed to go and get their medication and something to bring them comfort during the transition into being a conquered peoples.
2. I think the #2 in our arguement was about Jedi being evil. And that is preposterous. Let me take some quotes from the page on wookiepedia
"For over a thousand generations, the Jedi Knights were the guardians of peace and justice in the Old Republic. " --- "There is no emotion; there is peace." --- "The lightsaber is not only a weapon of defense—it is important for focusing the mind." Now go look up what the Sith page says...

4. Republic was for Freedom, America was for Freedom, invading planets to use for their own cause was what the Separatist did. They restricted peoples freedom when they killed them, put them in camps, held them hostage (like on Utapau).

It would restrict them, which was what i was supposed to do. why the need to restrict them? well 1 example: their hugeass army. At the time the Republic diddnt even knew that had any kind of army. They just used Jedi to resolve conflicts.
2. Not a bail out. Its just the blinding truth. Padawan Mass took place 4,000 years before this.
5. Yes you did. "Nemodians depended almost entirely on the Trade Federation for their income..if it dies..so do they". You clearly state that the Nemodians were dependent on the success of the Trade Federation.
6. But it wasnt "They joined the Sepertist who were waging a war on the Republic". they were key players because they had alot of financial assets, and alot of battle droids. They got together with the Banking Clan and other factions so that they could hold the galaxy hostage-an act ofwar
5. The Trade Federation wasn't a lifeline to the Neimoidians. On their wookiepedia page, it says they were known for their greed, cowardliness, great value on wealth and POWER.
6. OH funny, also on that page in the top half, it says that "they joined the CIS, who waged war on the Republic".
4. Like ive said this entire time, the seps actions directly led to millions if not billions of deaths. The republic cannot be blamed for trying to keep the galaxy together. What would of happened if the South was allowed to leave in America? America as a whole would be much less prosperous.
1. Noone has a right to invade and occupy a planet like that. They were destroying millions of lives (because living in a camp compared to whatever they had before is pretty much destruction)
2. Despite the Jedi being prickish, they still fought for the forces of Good.
3. Trying to get more and more money is greed. More greed then the average person. yes we may all be a little greedy, but they were much more greedy then others.
-Also, the Trade Federation had no right to invade Naboo
-And Despite being "keepers of the peace", the Jedi were extremely weak at this time. To think that they never caught on to Palpetine being the sith? They also failed at keeping the peace, their job. So good job Jedi -_-
However ultimately, the Separatist council was blinded by greed and due to their actions, along with some others, an enormous amount of life was lost. They WERE ignorant of the sith and were ultimately bad people in general.
1. With all the opportunities in the galaxy, the Trade Federation wouldn't of had to resort to building up an army to invade another planet. Thats not necessary, i don't care what species you are.
2. Its the picture George Lucas painted for Star Wars, im sorry its so hard to argue against that :p
Hows this, ill admit that its debatable whether the Republic was at fault for the Clone Wars. I will admit that some separatist had a right to leave so long as they remained peaceful.
Invading a planet cant be free of casualties. The local police force, the forced relocation of its peoples into camps, ect. And the TF did this for more money. Then tried to cover their tracks by FORCING the queen to sign the treaty.
Ultimately, The Republic and Rebel Alliance are the protagonist factions in Star Wars. They are portrayed as the good guys, and they are. Its not debatable that the Jedi are good. they are. if they arrant, they become a sith or a Dark Jedi. either way, there good.
and that the people were put into camps. We don know how many died, but certainly some must have. Their is no such thing as a peaceful invasion. well actually maybe their is, but this wasn't one of them.
The Sepertist leaders KNEW that Dooku was up to no good. but they turned their heads. How could you not believe the sith would simply be up to something that is morraly okay? Surely they would know about their history. The Jedi are selfless, the Sith a selfish, anyone in their right mind would know that. You can however ignore the evil history of the Sith, the sith who were the ones corrupting the Republic in the first place. And the sepertist decided to join them, ignoring the past all together
it was a continuation of what i was saying the my previous post, underneath your 1. and 2. statements
As for the Jedi, they arrant the police. They are keepers of the peace. their job exceeds a normal police officer.
Did the Jedi attack any of the Geonosians? no, they took a protective stance around the captive Jedi who were about to be executed for im sure a bias and unfair trial. Tax laws don't make invading a world and killing thousands/millions right.
1. Whatever intelligance the Republic knew about was confirmed.
Lovely count dooku quote to the members: "when their battle droids are combined with yours, we shall have an army greater than any in the galaxy. The Jedi will be overwhelmed. The Republic will agree to any demands we make."
"any demands they make", with the use of force (the billions of battle droids they've been producing). The republic was defending themselves, and making sure the galaxy wasn't torn apart.
warn the republic of the mobilization and militarism of the separatist.
they weren't there to protect the geonosions, they were there to rescue anakin, padme, and obiwan. they were also there to confront the separatist and assumingly to disarm them.
an example of the Sepertist wrongdoings would be the Invasion of Naboo, planned execution of Jedi, allowing themselves to be led by sith, not to mention they are the antagonists of the first 3 movies.
the republic voted for a military due to "the increasing threats of the separatists". it wasn't until the surprise entrance of the clones was the separatist army fully realized.
the sword thing is different. whether you identify yourself or not, whatever your purpose is, your going to jail. their isnt any reason a sword would be necessary.
If obi-wan had identified himself, his capture probably would of been sooner and he wouldnt be able to get the message out in time to warn the republic of..
and then the CIS attacked the Jedi, who went there on a rescue mission. and that brought about the escalation to the clone wars.
as for the sepertist council knowing about the sith, well they actually did know they ultimately were led by Lord Sidious, a sith, who wer led by count dooku, a sith. That isnt really dispuitible, since Dooku does pull out his red lightsaber, and he does talk about his master, who actually does have contact with the sep leaders right b4 this scene
Kenobi wasn't looking into the CIS, he was investigating a very serious order that threatened the security of the galaxy (the clone army), when he went to bring in the bounty hunter for questioning Jango attacked him. He was authorized by the Jedi Council to apprehend Jango, which was a legitimate force of the legal government.
again, the neutral organization, was planning to hold the republic hostage with its army. just so happens the republic had clones to defend against themselves.
as for the evidence of war, well are you kidding? that's ALL about episode 1. All those droid foundrys, the DEATH STAR.
plus if you've watched the Clone Wars tv show (i know its a bit childish, but its star wars) their was an episode about a Nemodian (same race as Viceroy Gunray testing biological weapons on an innocent village.)
The CIS weren't victims. They were mass murderers. They deserved the death they got.

alright actually i will take back the leaving the republic part. Morally their isnt anything wrong with that.
As for the spying, they had probable cause. Obi-Wan was looking into who ordered the assassination of Senator Amidala, and because of his trespass he was put to death. In a rescue attempt, Jedi came to SAVE their fellow Jedi. Jedi are good remember. They stand for peace and justice. And a lead member of the Sepertist Council (the geonosian leader) ordered Obi-wans, a jedis, death.
Also, sith are Evil no? The war was planned by one (Palpetine), and the Confederacy was led and organized by one (Dooku).
Also all of episode I was about the Trade Federation, led by Nute Gunray, invading the peaceful planet of Naboo. The Trade Feds and Gunray were key players in the formation of the Confederacy.
There was a reason to spy. The separatist (which i think leaving the Republic like that is illegal) were preparing for a war. If you would remember count dooku saying "The republic will be overwhelmed. they will have no choice but to listen to our demands".
Also at the end of episode II Dooku says to Darth Sidious "Good news my lord, the war has begun", with the DARK LORD's response of "excellent, everything is going as planned".
I cant beleive the past 3 posters saying how they diddnt deserve such a death.
1. they are evil. billions of lives were lost because of THEIR war that THEY started to CONQUER the galaxy as their OWN
2. it isnt such a "horrific" death. unless you are jacked with midichlorians (like Anakin or qui-gon), a lightsaber blow will kill you quickly

1. I would get a new job. I wouldn't attack my boss or try to rob him to get what he owes me.

As for the Jedi, they arrant the police. They are keepers of the peace. their job exceeds a normal police officer.
Did the Jedi attack any of the Geonosians? no, they took a protective stance around the captive Jedi who were about to be executed for im sure a bias and unfair trial. Tax laws don't make invading a world and killing thousands/millions right.

Lovely count dooku quote to the members: "when their battle droids are combined with yours, we shall have an army greater than any in the galaxy. The Jedi will be overwhelmed. The Republic will agree to any demands we make."
"any demands they make", with the use of force (the billions of battle droids they've been producing). The republic was defending themselves, and making sure the galaxy wasn't torn apart.

warn the republic of the mobilization and militarism of the separatist.
they weren't there to protect the geonosions, they were there to rescue anakin, padme, and obiwan. they were also there to confront the separatist and assumingly to disarm them.
an example of the Sepertist wrongdoings would be the Invasion of Naboo, planned execution of Jedi, allowing themselves to be led by sith, not to mention they are the antagonists of the first 3 movies.

the republic voted for a military due to "the increasing threats of the separatists". it wasn't until the surprise entrance of the clones was the separatist army fully realized.
the sword thing is different. whether you identify yourself or not, whatever your purpose is, your going to jail. their isnt any reason a sword would be necessary.
If obi-wan had identified himself, his capture probably would of been sooner and he wouldnt be able to get the message out in time to warn the republic of..

and then the CIS attacked the Jedi, who went there on a rescue mission. and that brought about the escalation to the clone wars.
as for the sepertist council knowing about the sith, well they actually did know they ultimately were led by Lord Sidious, a sith, who wer led by count dooku, a sith. That isnt really dispuitible, since Dooku does pull out his red lightsaber, and he does talk about his master, who actually does have contact with the sep leaders right b4 this scene

Kenobi wasn't looking into the CIS, he was investigating a very serious order that threatened the security of the galaxy (the clone army), when he went to bring in the bounty hunter for questioning Jango attacked him. He was authorized by the Jedi Council to apprehend Jango, which was a legitimate force of the legal government.
again, the neutral organization, was planning to hold the republic hostage with its army. just so happens the republic had clones to defend against themselves.

as for the evidence of war, well are you kidding? that's ALL about episode 1. All those droid foundrys, the DEATH STAR.
plus if you've watched the Clone Wars tv show (i know its a bit childish, but its star wars) their was an episode about a Nemodian (same race as Viceroy Gunray testing biological weapons on an innocent village.)
The CIS weren't victims. They were mass murderers. They deserved the death they got.

alright actually i will take back the leaving the republic part. Morally their isnt anything wrong with that.
As for the spying, they had probable cause. Obi-Wan was looking into who ordered the assassination of Senator Amidala, and because of his trespass he was put to death. In a rescue attempt, Jedi came to SAVE their fellow Jedi. Jedi are good remember. They stand for peace and justice. And a lead member of the Sepertist Council (the geonosian leader) ordered Obi-wans, a jedis, death.

Also, sith are Evil no? The war was planned by one (Palpetine), and the Confederacy was led and organized by one (Dooku).
Also all of episode I was about the Trade Federation, led by Nute Gunray, invading the peaceful planet of Naboo. The Trade Feds and Gunray were key players in the formation of the Confederacy.

There was a reason to spy. The separatist (which i think leaving the Republic like that is illegal) were preparing for a war. If you would remember count dooku saying "The republic will be overwhelmed. they will have no choice but to listen to our demands".
Also at the end of episode II Dooku says to Darth Sidious "Good news my lord, the war has begun", with the DARK LORD's response of "excellent, everything is going as planned".

I cant beleive the past 3 posters saying how they diddnt deserve such a death.
1. they are evil. billions of lives were lost because of THEIR war that THEY started to CONQUER the galaxy as their OWN
2. it isnt such a "horrific" death. unless you are jacked with midichlorians (like Anakin or qui-gon), a lightsaber blow will kill you quickly
3. seriously thou, they are evil, they only want peace now because they think that either A) they lost the war and dont want to die or B) think theve won now

This scene was longer, apparently Nute opens a door and destroyer droids march through Anikain, defeats them and then jumps at Nute, which is why he is seen jumping at Nute
