  • I think everyone knows he got robbed at the Young Choiristers competition. It happened again this year as well. The BBC's credibility is very much in doubt.

  • Yikes!

  • Hmmm....it's on BBC Radio 2 tonight at 2000!

    I take it that you were there....?

    =8-)[---{

  • I guess I shouldnt have said anything yet...but im from Texas and the BBC doesnt have any pull here...HA!...Yes I was there.

  • LOL Thanks! If you don't mind me asking - what were you unhappy about? I haven't heard it yet - it's on tonight!

  • Who they picked....yes he did a great job and is a fantastic singer, but another boy did better at this competition but is close to being "too old" if you know what I mean....Many feel like the judges (who took forever to make up their minds) chose the boy they did because he will be able to make all the commitments before his voice breaks, instead of picking the boy that actually sang harder songs and did the best job, who may not be a treble much longer.

  • That's very interesting as I had a quick look at the internet earlier and one of the boys said that his voice was already changing and I had just that thought!

    Thanks for the insight!

  • That is correct, he was the 4th to sing. It was obvious that his voice had begun to change, but he still sang very well. I only wish I had the chance to hear him sing during the tryouts! That boy isnt the one in question. There was another who is currently a treble still, but may not have been able to make all the commitments before his voice changed....I think once you hear the program, you will know which one im speaking of.

  • Hmmmm...thanks for that clear insight!

    I hope that you enjoyed your trip to Blightie!

    =8-)[---{

  • Whats a Blightie?

  • I'm sorry! Blightie is how we affectionately refer to Britain! LOL

    Did you enjoy your trip here?

  • Just listening now on iPlayer - the boy who won was very vibrato-y and 'chesty' I thought...I see what you mean about the other one whose voice was going too...

    =8-){--{

  • the third boy, Toby, should have won. he did the best job that night. Laurence is very talented and can sing very well, but Toby out sang him that night.

  • Yes, thanks for that.

    We're looking forward to Matthew Noon (son of the MD at the Catholic Cathedral in Liverpool) singing in Faure Requiem next month - it'll be interesting to see if he's as good as James!

    (see and listen to his Pie Jesu on my channel!

    =8-)[--{

  • I agree! Thanks - check him out singing Pie Jesu (Faure) on here too!

    =8-)[---{

  • Wow, why this doesn't have more views I'll never know. Excellent.

  • He is singing in Faure Requiem in Parbold in a few weeks!

    He is great, I agree!

    =8-)[---{
