  • Как же это круто!!!

  • Early Stig

  • bench mark of performance, yellow bird.

  • Just man and machine. No electronics in between. Beautiful

  • excellent driving!

  • I have yet to see a greater in car video of a man in pure harmony with his machine on the greatest track to ever exist.

  • This video is purley awesome! should have way more views since it's been up since 2006.

  • More the reason I love porshe #1...

True car creates a true driver, put me behind the wheel...

  • THE BEST DRIVER EVER!

  • who´s the driver?

  • a very fast man ;)

  • This model was an RUF ctr. it was an 3.2l. and have around 469 hp. (350 cv.)... its from 993 family, my favourite 911 model...

  • awsome skillz

  • of course it´s a 911 yellowbird, but who is the driver ??

  • Supposedly the driver is Hans Stuck, who is now one of the chief test drivers for BMW along with Sabine Queen of the Ring.

  • are you sure that the car is an 911? i think that´s a 928...

  • You can tell its a 911 by the dash board.....beside a 928 could never slide and fly like that, its a rear engine for sure

  • how many hp have the yellowbird??

  • Sideways Stefan in his city outfit, driving a Yellowbird like there's no tomorrow...

This is probably the best incar video ever. Totally mindblowing, his driving skills are out of this world and the car's got mad power. Amazing.

Lindo! Tudo de bom!

  • The original 911 chassis was never meant to handle this much power, 469 HP and 553 Nm torque was more than 50% more than Porsche's own turbo (935). In addition it was very light, only 1170 kg.

Contrary to popular belief, an original 80's 911 is actually an easy and forgiving car to drive, if you remember slow in, fast out of corners. Wet surfaces can be a bit tricky. I love my 911 SC and will run it on The Green Hell in 6 weeks. With only 204 HP it still does 0-100 km/h in less than 6 secs.

  • This is a fantastic video because that's a fantastic car and that's a fantastic driving.

  • simply wonderful!!!

  • I just busted out my stop watch. Of the 8:25 minutes he spent about 1:40 of it going sideways :-) Way too much over-steer on the RUF. I wonder what kind of lap time that car is capable of with a sorted out suspension set up and some of today's sticky rubber? And yes, that guy had mass cojones to push that car as hard as he did with that much over-steer.

  • 8:25. I knew I would approve this clip once I noticed its runtime.

  • Fantastic. Thanks for sharing.

  • ...guesto si chiama guidare !!!!!!!!

  • vermante bello complimenti al pilota

  • That is incredible, one of my favorite vids for sure!

  • bloody americans

  • OMG this is the vid! Nordschleife is "the track", Porsche is "the car" and seems that this man are having fun :D.

Sorry about, I don't speak english very well.

  • To those who say he's showboating...He's having FUN. That's why you'd take your Porsche to the Ring - to flog it around corners and push it to the limits. This driver = Balls of Steel.

  • Did I say showboating was a bad thing? If you've got the skill to do it, then by all means....

  • learn to drive first...

  • show us a vid of your car doing better

  • That is without a doubt the best driving i've seen in ages! :D

  • stop actin?? have you any idea how hard it is to drive this car?? The Ruf Yellow Bird??

you would crash it in the first turn!

  • It only appears squirrely because he's showboating for the camera, forcing slides everywhere to look like a hero. Note how he enters some corners wide and then cuts the wheel hard when he gets on the gas, or in others he'll jerk the wheel first away from the turn before cutting into it. Once he's sliding, he has to work the wheel to keep the slide going where he wants it. Guarenteed if he were actually racing, he'd drive smoothly to save those tires.

  • RustyATV wrong. That car was built poorly in a sense back then. Porsche's design of the rear engine layout caused the rear of the car to swing out wide on turns causing alot of understeer or drifting. So it's not so much his driving but it's what the car wants to do.

  • I don't discount that some of it is the car's handling, but watching the steering wheel and the lines he's taking in the corners, it's pretty obvious to anyone who's actually raced anything on four wheels that more than a good bit of that is driver induced.

  • Beautiful driving.

  • My GOD!

  • this guy is, a german would say "ach du scheiße!"

    he can fuckin' drive.

  • Faster than a 956? HAHAHA.

  • it's probably because of the crappy handling of the yellowbird he drives like that.... still after watching some crashes in the ring roser has god like skills

  • some of you fail to realise that the RUF is not only a tuned porsche 911, but is also a yellowbird RUF... more powerful than a normal 911 and a lot faster than a 956, which is why he drifts on most of the corners... too much torque

  • at many corners i thought he´d loose it...damn, even the camera must have been sick after that drive! first i had the impression of some wierd idiot driving, but he does have control... great video!

  • Go back a couple of videos and compare to Darek Bell driving a 956 (heck of a lot more car). You'll see smoooth versus SQUIRRLLY!!

  • thats insane

  • My new idol.

  • yea this dude really can drive the older porches where known to be rite animals anyway and thats ruf so its got stupid power the guys got real talent to make it go round a track like Nurburgring that fast....

  • Respect. he is a drift champ, a fast drift champ but not a fast race driver . Look at his time: its about 8:20! 500hp! And the 80s cars were not heavy. Its PR for Ruf, not for fast driving on the RING

  • at first it kinda seems like he's just some moron in a porsche on the nurburgring. Then you watch more and notice his lines are absolutely perfect, especially around the traffic he encounters. Amazing.

  • Yup, this is Stefan Roser, RUF's test driver. The guy is a complete lunatic, and sickeningly gifted with it.

Notice how, despite the lairy angles and hastily applied steering inputs, the lines are still millimetre perfect.

I just wonder how many cars he broke learning to drive like that...

  • If I am correct, I believe that is "Sideways Stefan", a professional test driver, not just some crazy guy. The car is a 500hp RUF CTR, the definition of a "scary fast" car.

  • Wow, that was ballsy... Stupid, but ballsy!

  • Yikes! I'd love a high res copy of that vid

  • Funny how the people who complain about the 911 seem either to be the people who never drove/owned one. The 80's 911 made an ass of people who did not know what they were doing, but rewarded the person with the skill to handle it. My 911 is like a drug. I NEVER get tired of driving the wheels off it!

  • MDR!!! jamais de la vie j'arriverais a fair ça o_O

  • what a BMF! damn, that car is scary fast...and in he hands of a true badass!

  • Yeah 80s Porsches were known to be dastardly. That first high speed section takes some friggin cajones.

    I'd ride shotgun....with a helmet.

  • fucking lunatic. Cool

  • that guy has some serious driving skillzzzz

i would like to see him drive a 996 or 997 turbo on there fo sure !!

  • search for "Stefan Roser" on youtube, there's a video of this guy driving a Ruf RT12, 20 years or so after this video was shot.

  • hes a wheel. thats for sure.

  • ayala vergaaa...

  • Is that guy crazy? That's the fucking Nurburgring. You don't just go race it without a helmet rofl

  • nice drift

  • I knew the really powerful 80s 911 were evil and twitchy, but never knew the extent of it.

The guy driving is making the violence look sort of casual.

    Great vid - cheers.

  • Skill! Here's an 80s RUF 911 from an era when the 911 was a nervous wretch of a superpowered death trap, ready to dump you sideways in the gutter if you dared make the smallest mistake, and this guy just casually drives it at absolutely suicidal speeds around the ring - no helmet, no harness (from what I can see), no fear - just jeans and a white t-shirt, lol! What a hero.
