  • Disney has actually been doing read-along book/audio sets since the 1960s. There was also a version of this where the audio was on vinyl instead of compact cassette (a small LP record with the same diameter of a 45-RPM single). They first began using tapes as well around 1977, and now they just use CDs.

  • Wow, that's the worse Vincent Price impression I've ever heard.

  • Olivia's voice sounds like Kirsten Stewart from Twilight. And that is not good because that is not Olivia.

Ratigan's voice sounds too high. It should have been a little bit deeper.

I like Dawson's voice and Basil's voice though.

  • who was narrating?

  • ick i don't like mr. flashel's voice.. :P it anoyys me nd so does olivia's

  • I'm very, very mixed about this Read-Along version. I like Laurie Main as the narrator -- I always have liked him -- but the voice cast replacements are VERY uneven. Olivia was definitely the weak point. Basil was OK though and Dawson sounded on par. As for Ratigan, sometimes he's good, but other times he sounds a bit too nasally. Interesting listen nonetheless.

  • @Turnajon Well Basil and Dawson are voiced by the same actors who did them in the movie. It's entirely possible that it's the same actress for Olivia, but obviously much older. However, I also don't think it is.

  • how can I find Disney Atlantis read along? it is so mutch here, but I cant find that book, can you please put it in :)

    Please :P

  • ive been trying to find the complete set list.... any idea where i can find it?

  • Dr Dawson should have been the narrater because he narrated the film.

  • I had this when i was 5 years old when it came out in theaters, i saw it 2 times when i lived in St. Louis at the time before moving to Omaha in early 88. I even had a stuffed Basil doll and a coloring book with a cookie crisp GMD sticker on it.

  • 0.o i don't like the voices of the characters. i love the original voices. and they have remade the lines. but dawson sounds the same. and they added a seen. and it wasn't snowing. it was raining. my fave disney movie and the book ruined it!

  • @MaDnEsSandCrAzYnEsS Basil's voice is also the same.

  • @InvaderPet at sometimes basil does not sound the same but oliva's voice is rlly annoying

  • @MaDnEsSandCrAzYnEsS Olivia's voice has NO emotion.

  • @InvaderPet

She sounds 12 in this tape.

  • That Olivia the mouse's voice sounded a bit like Bonnie Wright from Harry Potter or Abi from EastEnders.

  • @joe45BP Yes and I dislike it. Olivia's the emotional type of girl-not a stoic like Ginny from HP or Bella from Twilight.

  • I could tell that was Laurie Main as the narrator. He also voiced Watson in the real movie.

Frank Welker voicing Fidget makes sense, as his old voice actor passed by some time ago.

  • Just found that out. It's from both, and I just realized I had a tape with this on it. I'm getting the book soon, I think.

  • Which set is this from?

  • Don't know.

  • Of course he is!

He's a rodent Sherlock Holmes & the background is London, England!

  • Or do you have the book to go with it?

  • I don't have the book. Sorry.

  • Could you upload some pages of your read-along book please? Because I haven't seen them since I was a boy back in the late 80's. Other than that, great read-along!

  • I wonder who's narrating. It almost sounds like Paul Frees at times, but it isn't him...

  • Laurie Main is the narrator.

  • @InvaderPet He presented 'Welcome to Pooh Corner'!
