  • HAW HAW what a LAUGHINGSTOCK this turd Waggoner is!! Broke the once-greatest industrial firm, due to his INCOMPETENCY, and his arrogance is only exceeded by his NINCOMPOOPSY!!

  • Rick wagoner is living proof Harvard Business School does not mean anything. He wrecked GM.

  • LOL idiots on the board voted to give this moron 30 million bucks a year as he drove the share price into the gutter. Stockholders and America get just what they deserve.

  • because General Morons put its bet on the SUV

while it was crushing the EV-1 electric car it was acquiring

    HUMMER

they gambled and lost EPIC FAILURE

worlds largest automobile company Bankrupt !!!

yeah blame toyota for that ! whose the idiot

  • @emforty2 your the idiot, because you bastards are the ones trying to kill the larger safer suvs and make everyone drive puny little pieces of shit!

  • I really dont get it, GM makes good small cars all over the world under brands like Vauxhall UK

    Opel Europe

    Saab sweden

    Suzuki Jap,

So why not take the designs and build them in the USA, in Europe the cost of fuel is 3 times what you pay. We have been living with small cars for years and there fine. 2L 16v they are not slow and you get good MPG (Miles per Gallon).

  • They'd rather re-badge shitty Korean cars as Chevys and push them on unwitting consumers in the U.S. It makes me sick that my tax dollars are keeping these fuckers afloat!

  • Yes we have the Shitty Chevys over here, its a Daewoo with badge change( voted the most shitty car you can get) Sorry Chevy loves, but the good name of Chevy is in the gutter.

  • GM WAS CONTROLLED BY FUNDS WHICH HAD MUCH LARGER INVESTMENTS IN BIG OIL COMPANIES. So they didn't really care if their piddling money in GM went busto, so long as it didn't hurt Big Oil. That's why GM was "stupid" enough to kill the EV1, and sell the NiMH batteries to Chevron.

  • leader in electric car 10 years ago now 10 years behind the Japanese

the gamble their future in the SUV and lost

    Epic Failure

  • @emforty2 the false advertising of global warming caused people to buy smaller cars

  • hey rick your a ugly f-cker,but it looks good on you (horseface)

  • MR.wagoner clear your desk you stupid idiot and shove a hummer up your ass before you go,wish i could remove all your money then you would see how the poor people live. you fu-ker

  • Poor Wagoner got told to take a hike. Executive scum like him need to be treated with the same level of contempt as serial killers, rapists & pedophiles. Greedy turds like him have no sense of the realities of the world, of history, of morals, principles, ethics & decency. Creeps like him should just kill themselves, its the only noble thing to do. The world will be a better place without this sort of disgusting idiot. Wheres the lynch mob when u need them? History will remember him as a monster

  • im sure wagoner did more than any of you here and im sure you guys only know what he did wrong on the surface - he turned around GM from 30 years of FAILURE management.

and obama is a failure too for asking him to step down. how does dictator obama sound like to you? im lovin' it

  • rick how does it feel tu have a hummer up your ass?...

  • @loadi2 how would it feel to have a hummer drive over your dumbass?

  • rick wagoner you sure is a dum f-cker, you sure did not deserve no bonus for stupidity

  • Go and FUCK YOU Rick!!! You stupid ASSHOLE killed the Hummer H1 and you are killing OPEL, so fuck you!

  • your a dumass rick wagoner...you may abuse the poor taxpayer on earth but you Sure did not amass any fortune in heaven ,you'll get your bonus MR Richman.

  • Rick, Rick, Rick.

To quote you "from a standpoint of technology", the truth is you do not have any.

Pushrods, leafsprings and every year a bigger V8..

    What where you thinking?

GM is low tech and the cobalt uses engines from Opel and Saab, and now you will loose the only thing that could take GM out of the -60'th.

I feel sad for the workers in GM factories all over the world that will loose their jobs because of your incompetence.

    Shame on you!

  • the volt yea gm had the ev 1 then put it in the garbage so yea take that rick should step down plus there designs arnt they have no futuristic designs or up to date designs he wont say that just blame it on the people not getting credit he needs to focus on the real issue im glad opel is getting away from gm the germans know when the ship is goin down

  • he's not going to hell hes going to the bank

$16M salary the last 10 years driving the company to the ground

    great job!

  • guest you'll go to hell mr wagoner

  • Ummm you know that Obama's rich too, right? Real critical thinker aren't ya?

  • @loadi2 you first

  • Then Jesus said to his disciples, "I tell you the truth, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God

  • And Obama said - you must resign. And it was so. And obama said it was good. Worship Obama, he is love.

  • @Alfrunk obama is a socialist trying to take over all private industries starting with the the automakers, obama can burn in hell for all i care!!!

  • cut the fuckin salaries

the workers are overpaid for fuck sake

the workers at toyota make a lot less...

  • GM needs to quit making excuses.

  • @rasaxSF gm needs to quit taking the governments advice

  • your a dumass rick wagoner...you may abuse the poor taxpayer on earth but you Sure did not amass any fortune in heaven ,you'll get your bonus MR Richman.

  • a new honda cost $15,000 and is cheap on gas.your a dumass rick wagoner

  • $30,000.00 for a fucking car man that rick wagoner sure is a stupid man..he just does not get it

  • I want to buy the Saturn division from GM. Within a year I will be able to pay off all of GM's debt and return Saturn to the way it used to be, customer satisfaction and quality assurance. I bought into the vision that owning a Saturn provided me starting in 2004. My 2009 Saturn Vue XR with numerous body, paint, fit and finish issues as well as mechanical defects have left me with a very bad feeling. I deserve better as your loyal long term customer. Jason J. and family.

  • I agree. I have had Saturn cars for years now and I'm ready to change.

  • you get the taxpayers money fat ass more bonus for you wagenor.Rick GO TO HELL

  • In the current slow economy, all auto makers(including Toyota, Honda) except two are reporting sluggish sales.

You know what are those two companies booming in sales?

One is Ferrari, another is Rolls Royce.

This alone shows you how divided between super rich people and the commoner like us had become.

  • General Morons don't deserve a bailout according to Mitt Romney.

  • GM CEO Wagoner needs to be fired. This moron focused on trucks & SUVS, he lobbied against increased Gov't fuel mileage standards. He funded anti-global warming organisations. As Wagoner has driven GM into the ground he has continued to get $15 million in bonus. Even his offer to work for a $1 is only his salary. Wagoner earns 90% of his compensation from bonuses. GM needs to start making quality, reliable, fuel efficient cars, Wagoner isn't the guy to do this or turn GM around.

  • GM should discontinue offering gas guzzlers they are destroying the environment and fueling the oil crisis.

US Auto makers must develop and market fuel efficient cars, and stop pushing the ridiculously huge SUVs that no one else in the world seems to need. Americans need to get used to (IE. be forced into) driving smaller cars.

  • Hears the deal GM is good as DEAD ! with or w/o a bailout

the Volt ?? ha ha keep dreaming. dream makes you feel good

  • Heres the deal GM is not dead and also it will never become dead.

  • GM needs to be smart and build cars that most people like, fuel economy, reliable, affordable

    Good luck GM.

  • I do agree. At least theres no hate comments from you I appreciate your thought.

  • You can go and dig your own grave Rick, GM IS DEAD, FACE IT. YOU SHOULD HAVE KEP THE ELECTRIC CAR.

  • They once had 76% of the market to themselves and pissed away

they just put in Multi billion $ factories in Brazil and Russia

so whats the problem in North America

it's because they want to close down the North American operations.

make em cheap off shore and sell em high in the USA.

no bailouts send in the wrecking balls

  • 'he said its a tough environment'

and i say only the THOUGH survive

I thougt you guys said your "LIKE A ROCK"

    [sinking]

what did you do with the windfall profits you made the last 20 years selling SUVs? you spent them on Corporate Jets ?

  • Can anyone tell me why GM thinks they need to make cars like bread. Common sense says that you will surplus inventory. For the last few years we have had easy credit. No matter your credit score you can get a new car. Now credit is tight there are a bunch of late models being sold cheap. With the market flooded you cant sale. Maybe the need a new business model or CEO anyhow If the offer cars Made To Order at a reduced rate loses would narrow up.

  • If anyone from General Motors sees this, well I would like to say that you make the best cars in the world.

  • then keep buying there scrap.

  • All I'm going to say is who sells the most cars. Well its certainly not Ford.

  • Just because you don't want the government telling you what to do does not mean you are against being environmentally friendly. Oposing the CAFE standards does not mean you opose increasing fuel economy and decreasing emissions. GM has more models that get over 30 mpg than any other automaker in the US. They currently have the best fuel economy in a full-sized V8 truck.

  • Look at the 2009 Cadillac XLR. YUK. Those ugly new Chrome vents now have the GM label on them.

  • This guy IS full of crap! (And he knows it, too) He dodges the issues, throws in distracting points, and, hides behind stupid language: "Let's face it..." "I mean what we're trying to do, from a technology perspective..." "make sure we have the capability" "Frankly" "Certainly" "on the table..." "up for the game" "hopefully the best" "from the standpoint of.." "Frankly, that's not a GM issue" The plug-in electric the once made-- worked well!! To prove that was the case they killed it, correct.
  • been thru this shit in the 70's adios banko detroit, no BAILOUTS FOR ANYONE, JAPAN BUILDS CARS FOR CONSUMERS NEEDS, detroits pleases stockholders, gets lazy, BUT ALWAYS TAKES CARE OF ITS EXECUTIVE STAFF,

  • well, Japan builds cars that degrade the economy(except Mazda.) The big 3 have made the economy across the country so much better directly and indirectly. For example the USPS employees got raises after having a strike based around the UAW. Today China has a quickly improoving economy...GM is the best selling company. America, especially detroit has a quickly degrading economy...Toyota is now the best selling company. Japan only makes "better" cars because no UAW and unfair competition

  • Don't blame the UAW. They build what they're told to and their still the most productive workforce in the world. People have a right to make a decent living under safe conditions.

  • Unions do serve a purpose. They make sure that the workers are treated fairly, paid competativly and have safe conditions. However, too often, the unions abuse their power. It is very difficult for a union worker to get fired, no matter how poorly he works. Too often the union leadership uses their pull to increase union revenues without helping the workers. Because of that, Caterpillar in plant in Peoria has been forced to get most work done out of shop.

  • I know there is some malfeasence in regards to unions but, the point I was making is that to blame unions for the Big 3's demise is rediculous. It's due to piss-poor management. & these guys are paid millions per year! Now, they want $50 billion in loan guarantees & subsidies to re-tool their plants to build smaller & hybrid vehicles. Excuse me? I believe GM alone has like $50 billion in case reserves. So much for the 'free-market'. They spent $8bil on a Caddy plant in China for Chrissake!

  • no stupid, you are another 20 yr old youtube idiot, the CAR cultures of detroit and japan are opposite, you dont know JACK SHIT ABOUT THE AUTO INDUSTRY OR ECONOMICS, GO SUCK YOUR THUMB. wait til you have to bail out gm or ford out of your taxes, when it comes to cars you are too ignorant to drive one.

  • Can you explain to me why your fucking engineers obviously never spent a day with a wrench in their hand? Maybe you should hire some people off the floor who know how to work on a vehicle instead of this looks good on paper shit. Yours truly - Master Technician and Owner

  • He came and answered the questions

GM has never been a great company

but at least they are trying

those facillities still employ a lot of people

but their arrogance in the 1970s and oldsmobile did them in

  • I found a copy of People Magazine from 1980 and Toyota was advertising it's Corolla, I think it was, back then in the ad as getting like 43 mpg. The reason cars/trucks today get shitty milage is weight. Were does the extra weight come from? Added luxuries... power windows, power locks, air, 6 spkr multi-disc, high-power stereo systems, more and more computers, larger wheels, power seats, heated seats, etc etc etc. If you want fuel efficiency, simply strip out the extra crap.

  • Well weight is definitely part of the issue, but MOST of that additional weight comes from increased safety and safety equipment. Pretty much every GM vehicle now gets a 5 star crash rating. It takes a lot of metal to make a car strong enough to get that rating.

And on top of that you have the demand for cars to be larger and more powerful. A 2008 Corolla is a hell of a lot bigger and more powerful than a 1980.

  • Yeah, saftey equipment too but they're not adding more metal. There's hardly and metal used in auto today. It'd be interesting to see what the weight differences are between hardened steel body panels and front, side, etc air bags and all the equipment they require. But, again, my point is, You can have cheap transportation that gets good fuel economy or you can have luxury and high HP. But, you probably can't get both, at least not with a combustible engine.

  • i owned that car, it was a tin can with a 50's detroit ford engine, went 200k, died hard, drove all over the usa, they are more complicated today with lower mileage. toyota and honda are your only two choices.

  • Thanks for that info. 200K was unheard of for most cars back then. That'd be a great commute vehicle today.

  • Hes full of crap

GM is in bed with Big Oil, they killed the electric car and sold the NiMH pattent to Texaco/Chevron to make sure no one else could use it (Chevron sued Toyota who had a better NiMH design).

They fight legislation and dont want that to be their image? They have no shame. These scoundrels have said they couldnt put safety belts and said the same about air bags, theyre full of it, if they dont want to make efficent cars, others will, and they know it.

  • Here's an idea. Let's boycott Chevron until they go out of business. I am sure they will try to change their name, or otherwise get out of it, but, if we boycott Chevron until they are dissolved, then the next in line and so on, they will either cease to exist or they will get gas prices down. Way down. Let them use their massive lobbying powers for the consumer and their very survival for once. If you like this idea, post it elsewhere, tell people about it, let's get something organized.

  • They don't want to make fuel efficient cars? MOST of GM's cars are more efficient than Toyotas. Cobalt compared to Corolla, Malibu compared to Camry, Impala compared to Avalon, Tahoe to Sequoia, Silverado to Tunrda, Traverse to Highlander, HHR to Matrix, ect ect ect.

The only advantage Toyota has is their Prius. And actually that vehicle is so expensive, even in the long term with $5 gas it's much less expensive to own something like an Aveo or Yaris.
