I just wanted to comment on federerbestclass I hope you don't mind Will...this guy/girl is hillarious comments removed 6 times but still didn't give up, he/she is famous all over internet lol
He moved around the ball very well in this match, but I think his returns have still been more or less the same, just a backhand slice or a touch. He manages to turn the point around while being on the defense but he wont be able to do that with everyone and its an unnecessary handicap.
The chip return is a problem when he faces the big hitters such as del potro, berdych or soderling .. All of these have succeeded in the last year or so, to demolish that with their huge forehands. That gave'em a huge advantage over the match . Against other players, it's working pretty well. But i totally agree, he should go after the return much more. He can do so much with it, its a shame he doesn't use it as much as he used to .. But in Cincy and Toronto, he seemed to go for more, thats good
Federer should've lost to Berdych in Toronto. The crowd saved him in that one.
This is an easy prediction to make against such a passive and toothless player as Mathieu. Let's remember that Federer cruised against similar players (Robredo-type players who are decent all around, but with no great strength) after the first round at Wimbledon and throughout the French until running into the power-hitters. If the seeds hold up, then he'll get his first legit challenge against Soderling.
he's almost always passive on his return- he hits the chip return at least 70% of the time- it's ok if you're up against a big server but he plays it against everyone, even on nadal's first and second serves, who doesn't really serve more than 120, and his second is slow with tons of spin, always going to the backhand. fed should have time to run around it and smack a fh, but in that wimbledon for ex one of the main reasons he lost was chipping tame serves into the net on many break points.
cool clip thanks for sharing ..

Federer needs to improve his returning...it was a major reason why he lost the Wim 2008 final...don't just put the ball back in play!!!!!!!!!!!
