the Guy matte was all roto in shake including the finer strands of hair...it's not the finest piece of work but did the job well from the demo real point of view
hi, great reel, please mate can you send me links or something i really wanna learn to composit like this.. i am brand new user to nuke atm however newbie. please help- maybe some names of books and stuff thanks
I cldn't exactly get ur comment about the makeup bit....the black wines kinda thing on the guy's face n chest is ALL make up only...we had hired a makeup artist to get the gelatine type material on his body.
nothing special , as the masters say. " 100 hours of hard work could hurt your demo reel" Keep working and be smart, dont do complicated things that looks very simple. Make simple things looks Complicated.
Hi Engineero... Well,in certain instances it can be as tedious as tracing each frame but thanx to the smartness in Shake for most of the basic changes, the rotoshape or the matte can be animated after a few keyframes too and it transitions smoothly..
It works pretty much the same way in After Effects. I've done stuff like this too, so I can really admire how much of a pain in the butt rotoscoping is (especially on that last shot!)
I like how you made the CG buildings on the right very good, I didn't even realize it was a CG model

@amanbhutani Wasn't it easier to shoot the guys on green/blue and key them out instead of going the for the heavy duty roto?

The first shot, I would say the Saturation needs to be dropped on the dumpster texture.

That's amazing... Looks completely real... I had to watch shot 2 over and over again to figure out what was CG. What 3D program did you use?

Nice job. It seems like a lot of work for a relatively simple shot, but can't argue with the results. Very nice.
