the Guy matte was all roto in shake including the finer strands of hair...it's not the finest piece of work but did the job well from the demo real point of view

  • @amanbhutani Wasn't it easier to shoot the guys on green/blue and key them out instead of going the for the heavy duty roto?

  • The first shot, I would say the Saturation needs to be dropped on the dumpster texture.

  • That's amazing... Looks completely real... I had to watch shot 2 over and over again to figure out what was CG. What 3D program did you use?

  • need some colour correction on the thing that leviates in air.

  • the words ur using in this vid sounds like you used cinema 4D anm i right or wrong

    words like ambient oclussion

  • hey what soundtrack is it i have heard it in another shortfilm?

  • nice work

  • shot 2: o noes!!!!!! its human saren!!!!! :3

  • i was wondering what software the projections were done in.?

  • This was BIBLICAL.

    Just one question:

On shot 2, couldn't you have just used makeup and shit for the guy?

  • hi Hippiehater1683,

I cldn't exactly get ur comment about the makeup bit....the black wines kinda thing on the guy's face n chest is ALL make up only...we had hired a makeup artist to get the gelatine type material on his body.

  • Nice job. It seems like a lot of work for a relatively simple shot, but can't argue with the results. Very nice.

  • Great video, well done! 5 stars!

  • nothing special , as the masters say. " 100 hours of hard work could hurt your demo reel" Keep working and be smart, dont do complicated things that looks very simple. Make simple things looks Complicated.

  • very good stuff!

in the first video add a color corection.

desaturate it and increase green color.

  • hey i recently completed vfx program at vanarts where are you working nowadays ?

  • hey aman wassup

    awesome work yaar

well aman i am too learning animation and vfx

i just want to know which are the softwares you have used in ths video

    gr8 job

    kudos

  • wow. exellent work. what film is this for?

  • How are the mattes created? Do you trace each frame?

  • Hi Engineero... Well,in certain instances it can be as tedious as tracing each frame but thanx to the smartness in Shake for most of the basic changes, the rotoshape or the matte can be animated after a few keyframes too and it transitions smoothly..

  • Shake??? what about After Effects? can you make stuff like this in AE.

  • It works pretty much the same way in After Effects. I've done stuff like this too, so I can really admire how much of a pain in the butt rotoscoping is (especially on that last shot!)
