  • WTFFF, YOUTUBE!!! IT IS NOT LIKE THIS FUCKING VIDEO IS BEING SOLD!!!! JUST LEAVE THE MUSIC, YOU GREEDY FUCKING CUNTS!! JESUS CHRIST! Fuck America & Fuck the world if THIS is where we are heading! I want to share these scenes with all of my friends on FB & Twitter & everywhere else! AMAZING friends around the world who have no way of seeing the show. But no! The SUITS would rather fucking ruin everyone's good time.. Sure, leave garbage shit on the web but pleaaassseee strip The Dead from a video.

  • This is the first episode i have ever seen, i've heard of the show before but never saw it. So its kinda weird the first time i watch it, it happens to be the last episode.. i will now be watching the rest :)

  • i just listened to ripple and ALL of american beauty on youtube. why WMG had to fuck up this scene is ridiculous.

  • F*CK YOU WMG!

  • Lindsay is such a badass! seriously, instead of the 2 week school thing she ditches and goes to follow the Grateful Dead... I just finished watching and I'm so pissed the show ended right here!! aaarggghhhhhghghghgh whyyy who wants to be a millionaire WHYYYYY did you kill this awesome Apatow series in the making

  • STUPID WMG WANKERS!!!!!XO

  • FUCK WARNER, epic and emotive ending for such a great show

  • Fuck Warner Music Group.

  • Who is WMG?

    Or Wank Muff Gays.

  • This is the greatest ending I could have ever imagined for Freaks and Geeks! I agree, the Dead is a great band for Lindsay to get into. It'd be awesome to see her experiences while touring in a different season!!!

    Hell yes.

  • the song is "ripple" by the grateful dead by the way

  • They used this song in the movie mask when rocky dennis is found dead in his bed by cher.

  • I LOVE THE DEAD! and i love this show. what a good band for lindsay to get into. Long live the dead!

  • I loved the ending to this show. Absolutely amazing. And I'm not a huge fan of the dead but the record she listens to is one of the best in music history.

  • wow this shows soundtrack is amazing

  • wow... u gotta be kidding me. Im pretty sure u just wrote that in order to get a reaction

  • "Freaks and Geeks" in my opinion is the BEST show in the history of television, and I would love to kick the butt of the creep who decided to cancel it after one season! I'm so glad that what we have is on DVD now, and while this last scene is heartbreaking due to the series' end, it is still awesome.

  • i wish this show hadnt ended with just one season!! there was a freaks and geeks reunion Q&A thing and i they said if the show continued on fot a second season then lindsay would've ended up coming home form the grateful dead show pregnant, bill would've left the geeks to be a jock on the basketball team and neil would've lost his vigiinity and would brag about it all the time lol

  • damn that would've sucked (for lindsay, not the show- the show is freakin awesome).

  • 336- that's nOt true, you're stereotyping, not everyone who listens to the dead does acid. Is everyone in the thrash, metal and punk genres violent? That would not be right for me to assume? Well I LOVE THE grateful dead and I certainly do not trip on acid. You should not assume things, you know what you know, but you do not know, what you do not know! Have a great day!

  • The Grateful Dead are amazing! What kind of music do you enjoy? JG IS orgasmic...

  • i mainly listen to punk, thrash, and stuff like that, but am not limited to only heavy music, i also enjoy folk, acoustic, etc.

i cant stand the grateful dead and the ending to this show, because everyone knows what happens on dead head tours, she'll get acided out of her mind to 'expirence the music', and getting fucked up like that. i can't stand the drug culture and the music that surronds it, but hey , thats just me

  • lol it didnt cost me a cent

  • what was the thing with her and her mom?

  • I was so disappointed with this ending. It was a crappy ending of a great show. I wanted Lindsay to end up with Daniel, or get back with Nick. Or, in other words, I wanted the series to go on for longer! I was like 5 when the show was on the air, so now I have them all on DVD. What exactly is a cult following? I read somewhere that there was going to be a continuation movie of this! But Samm Levine will be the only original cast member, and will still be playing a 15 year old.

    I miss this show!

  • that would've been boring. This show's uniqueness is lost on you. Sounded like you wanted a '70s show ending.' This show is like the Oscar worthy version of that '70s show' in my opinion. I sure miss it.

  • /A joke

  • Grateful Dead!! The D&D scene at the end is fantastic too.

  • wait is she not coming back i see the show but i wana know cause i dont have the thing!

  • did they plan on ending this show? or was it canceled?

  • Sadly the show was canceled. But is is a cult classic.

  • hahahahahhaha

  • Dead tour

  • i think more people need to know about this show because i personally think it is the best thing i've ever seen.

and this ending completely blew me away, i had such strong but mixed feelings when i was watching it (and i felt like i never wanted the episode to end) and then i pretty much just sat there like an idiot in awe while the credits rolled.

i can't even put into words my feelings about this show. it's great, to say the least :)

  • I felt the same way.I watched it when it was first on.We finished watching the series last night and I am sad all over again.I can relate to this time period cuz I was Lyndsey age.Anyway,as the credits rolled I cried, again. My daughter looked at me like I was nuts. But you invest your time in a show and the people and then thats it,it's taken away. They can't bring it back cuz everyone is grown up.So,my daughter got to feel the boring late 70's and early 80's.There was nothing to do then.Great show

  • my favorite grateful dead song. what a phenomenal show.

  • "That didn't cost me a cent."

  • love this song, love freaks and geeks

  • she reminds me a bit of ellen page

  • Truly an epic television series. Not in the sense of explosions, loud music, hair raising scenes epic... But in the sense of, it really conveyed a theme and an era that it's viewers could relate to, in whatever aspect it may be. Whether you were 15, 20, or even 50. Truly sad that it did not outlive it's characters.

  • What I want to see is that VW van brought back.

    Those things are sweet.

  • "We're gonna go down to Texas when school is out, we're gonna follow the tour up to Colorado."

  • I'm so cry for this ending!

  • bills awesome

  • Thanks to this scene and the end of the movie "Mask", I always tear up when I hear "Ripple" played on the radio.

  • best ending to any show. Period.

  • i love the dead their musics perfect for this episode

  • this scene makes me cry. A perfect performance and song choice.

"That path is for your steps alone"

  • can anyone explainwhat happened?

i didn't get it what happened to lindsay?

    thanx i'm kind of connfuse

  • I'm not familiar with this show (in fact, I was introduced to it with 'Carlos the Dwarf' just ten minutes ago). The portrayal of the individual characters and the ending itself seems to have a lot of layers for the discerning watcher, all of which I'm sure kids with similar experiences can relate to. Kinda makes me sad I never heard of this show until now.

  • Don't be sad! Be happy you can watch it from the beginning and experience it for the first time. Yes, it was too bad that it got cut short, but what is there is awesome.

I got the chance to meet the whole cast and producers when the DVD set came out, which was awesome.

  • @QuoVadisNation That is sad. Was watching this when it came out during my high school daze. Shame it ended so soon.

  • I hate the idea of Lindsey becoming a dead head, I mean why, but I love the idea of Daniel becoming a geek, but what about Daniels girlfriend did they break up in the end or what?

  • Watch Kim at about 3:12 in the video. She says "I broke up with Daniel" and Lindsay reacts.

  • i love daniel

  • Amazing scene. Brings tears to my eyes. And it's only appropriate that Lindsay's last name is "Weir"....as in BOB WEIR.....

    awesome

  • i think it was perfect turning lindsey into a dead head.

  • If you follow Lindsey's life, you'll see that she isn't any specific thing. She's experimenting in life and constantly growing as a person. This is why she will never be a real freak like her friends. I think she's definitely the best character of all, and though she's female, I can relate my High School experience to her most.

  • i think she is trying to find where she belongs, and finds that she isnt a true freak or a geek. But in the end she found her place. thats why judd apatow and paul feig wanted her to be a dead head in the end.

  • I disagree. By that logic, James Franco became a nerd (or all the nerds became cool). The general theme of the ending was that they were all growing beyond the boarders and click segregation that schools create. They were all becoming adults experimenting with new things. If the show had gone on, it would have followed this theme. It really isn't uncommon. After all, the wonder years spent it's entire running showing the transition into adulthood and the varying of experiences to get there.

  • that is true. the last episode was one of the best. Great show!

  • You nailed it. If the show went on, all were breaking stereotypes and becomesing adults. Hell, with the coach as a step-father, Bill could of went on a become a jock.

I mean, if you look at it - we all just human - not the lables that sociecty deems.

  • God, I know. This show would have been so great with 3 seasons on top of it.

  • I always thought a great episode would of been ; Daniel getting all the Geeks stoned.

Then Daniel & Ken going to a comic con convention with the Geeks. I could see the Freak & Geek guys hang together going to horror films ect ( the golden age of the slasher film was just around the corner)

  • Jesus man. You're really making me wish this show was back, but I know that's impossible. Stupid TV executives destroying this great artwork.

  • I don't think Lindsay became a dead head at all. Throughout the season you notice lindsay pushing boundaries- eg the season begins by addressing the fact she's no longer a mathlete, then with her parents, drugs, etc. She's looking for a voice- even pushing her own limits. In the beginning she is constrained by what is cool, and the end signifies a death of cool for her. She follows her heart's desires to the fullest. She has began an irrevocable change.

  • This is one of my absolute favorite moments in any TV show ever! Because of this scene, I went and figured out "Ripple" on the guitar. It's now one of the regulars in my set.

And those are the absolute words that I'm sure defines every fan's reaction. "I miss you already." And we still do. :*( There needs to be a reunion! I'd absolutely watch that if NBC ran it. Even if it was another network, I'd watch it.

  • wat is the song called

  • This song is called 'Ripple' and it's by the Grateful Dead.

Oh by the way if you liked this song you might like another one featured earlier in this episode. It's called 'Box of Rain' also by the Grateful Dead. If you like that one too you might like the entire album 'American Beauty' by the Grateful Dead. Peace brother.

  • Dude... just say that if you liked this song- check out The Dead. Such beautiful and mind expanding music .

    Cheers-

  • This last episode had the members going every direction. Lindsey taking of with potential of drug use, Sam getting tired of being a geek, Nick doing the Disco thing with a girl he likes 2nd best. My mind will never be at rest with this wayward non-ending. Damn!

  • nice!!

  • Its fucking 'Ripple'!!!!!

  • were did lindsey go

  • instead of u of m >>>she went on to pschedelic state and went on grateful dead tour..and lived happily ever-after....

  • what happened to James Franco? I'm one of those ppl who missed it and am getting into it now, I'm sorry i blame myslef and all the others for this show being canceled, but tell me what happened to James?!

  • He was just in SPiderman III. He's not really that big of a star in movies, but I think he's going to be doing something with Seth Rogan again.

  • theres the clip before this where hes hangin with the geeks its called carlos the dwarf

  • "That didn't cost me a cent."

  • Thanks!

  • Bill Haverchuck is the best! Another great tv show canceled way to early

  • Would it have been too mushy if Lindsay and Nick got back together? :)

  • Yeah, they aired this and 2 other episodes one night in Summer 2000 a few months after the show had been cancelled. I was actually out seeing Phish that night, but my parents taped them for me. Still saving that tape even though I have the DVDs now.

  • thnkx SO much luv dis show!<3

  • I was really looking forward to the next season. Then it never happened! I dont think I've ever got so hung up about a TV show before or since! lol

  • after the cancel they showed 3 episodes back to back. this was the ending. I want the DVD bad!

  • haha..and we put her name and address on her jacket incase she gets lost..thats great. !!!!Oh god kill me, ha!!!...i just did the thing that i hate..wen ppl quote something funny from the clip then repeat it in a comment and laugh. But it was just to funny to pass up

  • The best ending in tv history to the best show in tv history. It is a shame people are discovering this show after it went off the air. I think I was one of the 5 people who didn't miss it when it was on originally.

  • Best ending ever!

  • thanks!! :D

  • You're simply the best - Thank you so much for putting up these scenes out of Freaks & Geeks :-x
