Jesus fucking christ. This is the first video I've seen of him where he sounds like a broken record and a whiny child. So according to his logic, unless you shoot things every fucking second in a shooter game, it's a bad game. WTF? Scripted events are here to stay, deal with it. A lot of those old shooters where quite bad, don't even try to deny it. I grew up with them and yes, quite a few of them, after doom started the sordid thing, outright sucked bloody balls. Yeah, not his best work this.
@slask25 He's complaining about it not being a traditional Duke Nukem game which would feature nonlinear level designs with hidden areas and a focus on violence, instead it features closed level design with bad timing, as soon as you get your guns they're taken from you.

To this video -I generally agree to you TB, but in this case you really seem to be trying hard to hate the game. You skipped alot of the game content. Why would you want to skip the dialogues? Do you jump around and scream at the screen every time that happends in Mass Effect for instace?

Wait what? For one Half Life 2's puzzles were about as simple as these ones, they weren't really that complex. Second, Duke Nukem Forever has five enemy types as well. Lastly, I don't really think not having a serious story should affect a game's rating.

Well that's really not the right way to judge a game. You should judge it on it's own merits. Also, it didn't entirely turn it's back on everything that made it a loved game. They got the crude humor, over the top shit, and the Duke personal spot on. Just you wait though, 3DRealms went through all kinds of shit when working on this game (Gearbox actually just touched it up a bit, 3DRealms designed most of it) but now that Gearbox has the license....

Example, The Matrix Reloaded isn't rated as well as The Matrix. In their own right, they're great games and films. But the ones that came before are better. They'll make a new Duke Nukem game like what Forever should've been. I can already tell they're going to. For starters they already designed a singleplayer DLC "The Doctor Who Cloned Me", and I have to admit it's a lot better than the actual game. It still pretty much has most of the stuff in Forever, but the thing is they made it all better. The driving segments are a lot better, you drive a school bus to get out of a collapsing, exploding traffic tunnel....
The other driving stage takes place on the damn moon, and it's a lot more fun. There's only like one puzzle, and it actually requires some actual thought. The humor is a lot funnier in this DLC. Also the biggest improvement, all those things take a backseat to the combat, you fight a lot more this time around, and about half way through the game you fight along side the General and Duke's friend(guy with the bandana) on an open warzone, blowing up shit all over.
I remember duke 3d fondly. Played it alot when i was younger. It wasn't suitable for me as I was quite young and I got stuck all the time haha but this looks so different.
For those that don't know, nearly everything you pick up can be thrown for an instant kill on nearly all enemies....just saying. The game itself could've been done a lot better had they stick more to their roots and let me carry more freaking guns! But it was an interesting experience to say the least, I mean I enjoyed a lot of his one-liners, but still some, if not most, was just re-said from 3D and such...
I wish I watched this before I bought it. I played up until the racing part and stopped, uninstalled and not the box is collecting dust on my shelf such a boring yawn fest!

I agree with all of this. This is completely ridiculous. It's like the word's developers are slowly leaning towards treating their customers like mindless zombies who need to be handheld through scripted crap, terribly overused linear content, a variety of over used mini-games (which might I add are boring and a waste of my time), and mindless scenes like turret sections...
Meh Duke Nukem is a relatively fun game. But like you mentioned. You gotta be a fan of it to really LOVE it. I played them all and I enjoyed them. But Im not craving over it haha.
I didnt feel like this when i played it. I do admit i played it in a weekend and i was pretty chill, but you sound like you were annoyed before you played the game. I will say this, if you buy this, dont buy it full price. Its fun, but not worth $60. For a funny game that does nothing but shoot things, well, the first 20 minutes dont count, i thought that it got pretty dark when you find out what the aliens do to the women. I felt it was a lil harsh; maybe because i expected none-stop silliness

This game is so crap. I didn't buy it, I played it at a friends for about an hour and it was so shit. >=/ I agree that whining about graphics being redundant but after so long of a development time I'm just shocked the people look so horrible and some of the textures are shit.

I agree with all of this. This is completely ridiculous. It's like the word's developers are slowly leaning towards treating their customers like mindless zombies who need to be handheld through scripted crap, terribly overused linear content, a variety of over used mini-games (which might I add are boring and a waste of my time), and mindless scenes like turret sections...

I didnt feel like this when i played it. I do admit i played it in a weekend and i was pretty chill, but you sound like you were annoyed before you played the game. I will say this, if you buy this, dont buy it full price. Its fun, but not worth $60. For a funny game that does nothing but shoot things, well, the first 20 minutes dont count, i thought that it got pretty dark when you find out what the aliens do to the women. I felt it was a lil harsh; maybe because i expected none-stop silliness

@kea919306 Well yes mw3 did ruin the series due to them making deticated servers not reward anything and making them BOORING. however the singleplayer was the only thing they Improved! infact Singleplayer in MW3 was the only good thing about it. Infact much better then singleplayer in all of the Call of duty Series :)

This game is so crap. I didn't buy it, I played it at a friends for about an hour and it was so shit. >=/ I agree that whining about graphics being redundant but after so long of a development time I'm just shocked the people look so horrible and some of the textures are shit.
The fanservice is nice but it doesn't help the GAME it helps the visuals. The humor is funny at first but slowly degrades into this tween boy giggling in the background because he drew a penis or smacked a boobie. =(
