Much better than expected, couldn't see how a whole film about this could be entertaining, charming, thoughtful, and funny, but it was. My group and I walked out at 2:30 a.m. and headed to a 24 hour family restaurant because we were just too wired to get to sleep. We saw movie later at kòòkica again. Oh there are enough people who agree with me. Just check out IMDb. And I actually consider my opinion to be more valuable than anyone who says this movie is "great" or "awesome" or "the best movie evah!!" or whatever, because I actually developed some critical perception towards movies. I've seen enough movies to know that this is in no way a good one. The story is bad, the dialogue is beyond awful, the action is mind numbingly boring, it's crude, it's sexist and it's racist. Horrible movie.
The main problem with Bays Transformers is that for having a concept like Transformers to work, it's needed to be taken seriously, otherwise it'll just get ridicolous.
Why did District 9 work so well for example?
The dialouges weren't that noticable, yes the acting was good, but the main thing was the serious tone it approached.
A movie about transforming robots just isn't beliveable for someone over 12 when it's executed like a cheap comedy...
why not the tw mopvies premises are technically the same both movies discuss life forms such as aliens from other planets and both movies described a sense heroicness from aliens so what was so different. The reason was that District 9 was a rated R movie and not meant to be taken seriously with the movie's score and even if the movie was rated PG-13 it would be more serious, however TROTF was a movie derived for the whole family, not am movie like D9 with a different score

That's just the thing. A PG-13 rating doesn't justify all the idiotic stuff in Transformers 2. Iron Man also has a PG-13 rating and that was a surprisingly smart movie.
They also really push the PG-13 rating in Transformers 2 to its maximum. The movie has completely unnecessary sex and drugs references and the overall tone of the movie is just sexist and racist if you ask me. This really isn't a familiy film.
The critics dude they dont know nothing besides most of the movies the critics think are good are usualluy the most boring movies out there and those are the ones that get the oscars. So I dont listen to the critcs and besides have of the movie they say our top notch hollywood movies are the same ones nobody remembers after about two years. And on the other hand most people will do what somebody tells them so the adults and kids 9 times out of 10 probably discredited the movie because of critics

10 years ago you would have thought this movie was the "shit" . You've seen so many special effects, every movie has to be bigger and better, good grief, it was a great movie, and I think there's so much going on, you almost have to watch it about 3 times to take it all in..thumbs up.

yeah but demolisher only seems tall because of the wheels, his body is actually pretty small, the size of his head infact, so hes big in the sense of height, rather than mass and bulk unlike devastator, but yes, devastator is just combined constructicons
oh yeah, but still no where near as tall as devastator, he would be 100-110ft high if he/it stood on two back feet, and he is already 46ft tall on all fours, which is about 6-7ft taller than grindor

Oh there are enough people who agree with me. Just check out IMDb. And I actually consider my opinion to be more valuable than anyone who says this movie is "great" or "awesome" or "the best movie evah!!" or whatever, because I actually developed some critical perception towards movies. I've seen enough movies to know that this is in no way a good one. The story is bad, the dialogue is beyond awful, the action is mind numbingly boring, it's crude, it's sexist and it's racist. The main problem with Bays Transformers is that for having a concept like Transformers to work, it's needed to be taken seriously, otherwise it'll just get ridicolous.
Why did District 9 work so well for example?
The dialouges weren't that noticable, yes the acting was good, but the main thing was the serious tone it approached.
A movie about transforming robots just isn't beliveable for someone over 12 when it's executed like a cheap comedy...

why not the tw mopvies premises are technically the same both movies discuss life forms such as aliens from other planets and both movies described a sense heroicness from aliens so what was so different. The reason was that District 9 was a rated R movie and not meant to be taken seriously with the movie's score and even if the movie was rated PG-13 it would be more serious, however TROTF was a movie derived for the whole family, not am movie like D9 with a different score

That's just the thing. A PG-13 rating doesn't justify all the idiotic stuff in Transformers 2. Iron Man also has a PG-13 rating and that was a surprisingly smart movie.
They also really push the PG-13 rating in Transformers 2 to its maximum. The movie has completely unnecessary sex and drugs references and the overall tone of the movie is just sexist and racist if you ask me. This really isn't a familiy film.

So I dont listen to the critcs and besides have of the movie they say our top notch hollywood movies are the same ones nobody remembers after about two years. Well, after 2 and a half hours of metal banging against metal and lots of meaningless, mind numbingly dull action, and crude and offensive attempts at comedy, I still had no idea what the movie was about. Yeah, I know it's about some robot war, but this movie has no message or entertainment value.

This movie is beyond awful. I know a lot of people think this is some kind of great summer blockbuster, but it really isn't. Seriously:
The story sucks (robot heaven?), the dialogue is awful, the acting is laughable, the attempts at humor are at the level of Disaster Movie (a robot with balls? REALLY?!), the action scenes are sloppy and headache inducing and it's WAY too long.
We don't have to settle for this junk! A summer movie doesn't have to be insultingly stupid. Just look at Iron Man!
