I got the version on the wii for christmas, and lemme tell all of you something...it sucks. Don't get the wii version of this game 'cause you'll regret it once you find out that you can play it on a mac. I like the whole idea for The Sims 3: neighborhood, customizing, sims: fat/muscular etc, walking around where you want to, but.. I don't like the way Sims look.

I mean: they have sparkling eyes, from what I saw, they all look almost the same [dunno how to explain], nothing realistical in creating them, and I pretty much doubt that the custom content will change this. :(

Well.. I'll just have to wait and buy it. Still think that Sims 2 is way better.

Dude the Sims 3 is a completely different experience, with few to no restrictions on what you can do. The Sims 2 was not that big of a difference from The Sims 1 (except the ingeniousness of aspirations). There will be no loading screens, you can hop in your car and go wherever you want, other sims can invite you over to their house, I'm so pumped for this game.

ALl i know is it is MUCH cheaper when you preorder it which is 70$(collectors edition) than if you bought it which is about probably 85$(collectors edition) but if you preorder the sims 3 from walmart its only 65$(Collectors edition) my mom bought me this game so I got it pretty much covered but the reason why it costs so much is because they have been working on this ever since 2006!!!! THe preorder comes with a sims 3 poster and if you buy collecters a 2gb flash drive. The noncollectors is 50$
