I love trying to be DK! I'm ready to sing "Peel Me a Grape" at every chance I get and my entire family knows this! I really thought I sounded just like her...until someone recorded me! OMG! But I don't care, I have been a fan since she started out. Saw her at the Foxx Theater and the fans (guy's) went wild! She smiled and said, it must be the red shoes! Needless to say, I bought red shoes too! Now that's a true fan!

I saw Diana at the Annenberg Center, University of Pennsylvania, in May of '99. Intimate setting, her star was rising and her talent sizzled. Let me tell you that she can punctuate her vocals with that piano! That is her amazing and natural strength.

She played; "I'm An Errand Girl For Rhythm" and she was hitting those keys so-hard, making that thing shout and at the end it was as though the piano exploded. I feel very privileged to have been there to witness it all.

Being a session musician means that you get to play with talent, but you rarely/never get the accolade. It goes with the territory.

I'm sure they don't mind and if they did, they can start an amazing act that gets on The Jools Holland Show, with them as the star.

Oscar Peterson as my Mentor was her Mentor and she shadowed him for years. From a vocal point though I don't know. I like her voice - it suits/fits her style and is nice and easy to listen to. It's not my favorite female voice, but she's good and she's one heck of a pianist!

Just awesome. I love how much in command she is. I think she is a musician's musician. Her timing and phrasing are impeccable, totally effortless. The musicians sound like their instruments play themselves (with a singer like her, in a way it is exactly like this). Her cool "no drama queen" approach might not please everyone though.
