@Joannelovesjello hello there! :) thanks for your comment. i can hear how important it is to you that all artists are treated with fairness and justice. i agree, it's really no fun when people copy or steal your work. it's happened to me a few times. i can assure you that this is not a copy of any of audrey's work! i wish mine were as good as her stunning paintings! the only thing I did use as inspiration from her work was the arm/ hand, but that's it. cont.
@Joannelovesjello cont. the face is entirely my own design (audrey's are so much more elegant!) and the hair was inspired by Stella Im Hultzberg. The octopus comes from a photo of an octopus I took years ago at the zoo! As for materials: nope, audrey uses mostly graphite and acrylics (I believe), I'm all about the watersoluble crayons. And wood: all of use mixed media artists work on wood, don't see a problem with that. It's an old bit of shelve. :) Hope this appeases your worries! x Love, Tam
If possible, could you please send me the song? My email address is Ele338@gmail.com. Or if you can't what's the song title and who is the artist? As strange as it might sound I feel connected to it
hi i really like this its amazing. i'd really like to do this for my art exam, but i need an artist that i could link it to. i was wondering if you know of any other artist that paints in this style. Thanks
well, i've been painting since I was very young (i'm 34 now), not sure how easy it is to develop your skills in 2 months, but you never know! :O) good luck!
You so inspiring,I just recently started to paint again,I didn't for nearly 5 years but watching you paint made that passion to pick up the brush again resurface thanks so much.
I love this it's beautiful. But in response to the person below I think the lady stands out more then the octopus because if the octopus stood out as well it would kind of clash. In my opinion it's the lady's expression that really captures me..
the womans face is significantly better than the octapus, shame, i think maybe a stronger colour for the octapus as it kind of blends into the background .... the expression of the laidy is really good though ¬!!
@dobsondale hiya, i'm hearing how you'd enjoy the octopus to look different to the way it appears in the painting. isn't it interesting how everyone gets something different out of a painting? have a lovely day. :)
@tepeltje :-) i wish it was anything like kawasaki's, sadly I'm nowhere near that good. hearing how you enjoy it when people have a style that seems uniquely theirs, I'm guessing this is about authenticity for you, i get that. :) have a lovely rest of the day.
@willowing Hey, Sorry if i was too harsch. i watched some of your other stuff and there i see a different style, i think that's more original. I'm an illustrator myself and i totally understand if you like/love an artist... but be aware of that your not too much influenced, that's all i say. Anyway the quality of your movie is nice with the close-up, so good luck. :)
Amazing to watch! I like how you use pencil to outline a lot. I always have used fine-point marker or liner brush with black and the pencil is so much less harsh for the majority of the lines yet still outlines nicely. I also love how you mix the paint on the surface. I am timid - you are a confident painter and that is inspiring! How can I get me some of that LOL!? Thanks for sharing!

what is it that you are using, like for the first layer of skin color, or the blue for the eyes? looks like you are dipping your brush into an oil pastel or oil stick?
Hey i just wanted to know what kinds of paints and such you were using. i am a painter too and i cant seem to find the right paints charcoal and whatnot. your work is AMAZING.
I had to come watch this video for the 4th or 5th time now, because in her latest video Suzi Blu showed a statue that she just bought & said she was going to start sketching its hands.

looks like charcoal and i think she just used a brush that was a wee bit damped in water to spread the charcoal more evenly. But this a great piece i always wondered how ppl painted in wood. and i guess i just saw this today :]

wow you totally just copied audrey kawasaki on everything..
the style, subject, medium, and wood panel surface..find some individuality and originality...
you could've at least credited her in some way.. oh people these days
it wouldnt have gotten on my nerve at all but... youre selling it so..-_-
if anyone wants to disagree with me.. just look up audrey kawasaki. you cant refute it..
