This is definitely Hendrix. I had this LP and I lost somewhere in Brazil. I am happy to hear it again. I just can't remember the name of the album. Thanks for upload it.
This is not Hendrix. He played with Little Richard for a little while and I think one other band. I have heard some straight up blues songs that he did before he became famous, but many of the licks ended up in his later albums.
Well I have to admit I was never 100% sure it's hendrix. But it could of been him before he really became famous, he did actually sound quite different.
And like you said, it's not him singing, that's for sure.
The song is groovy though, a part from 1 or 2 bends that are not so good.
this IS Jimi Hendrix. Totally. Curtis Knight is singing. Same licks as on "Suspicious" the 45.
