There are clear difference between people who are just black or of mostly black ancestry and people who are half black or have mostly white ancestry, Rashida Jones is clearly not just black and she could easily pass for white, especially in Europe and definitely in Africa, the reason why she isnt considered white in America is mostly because most blacks are not fully black and have many different features and skin tones, but she is clearly mixed and mostly white

From a DNA test, her dad is 66% African DNA and 34% European. Assuming her mom is 100% European, that would make her at most 67% European and 33% African DNA. This is why she looks white and confirms that she is part black and not half black. DNA does not lie nor is political.
