It depends on what your workout consists of, I think if you are going to lift, it's a good idea to eat first, but if you are doing a cardio session its better not so you burn off more stored bodty fat.
I heard that some people develop some accoutumance to the pre workout supplement. Do you have to switch every other day between different preworkout supplements to avoid that accoutumance. Did you personnally felt that accoutumance?

There's nothing wrong with working out first thing in the morning. I have noticed no decrease in strength from doing it in the morning. It's just personal preference honestly.
