The corrections made by Salon only state that O'Keefe was helping out at the conference and rather than planning and executing it and that O'Keefe chose to leave his position at the Leadership Institute rather than being let go. Unfortunately I find many, if not most, people involved in the journalistic endeavor are capable of this type of behavior from time to time. Therefore it doesn't really convince me that Blumethal is always an unscrupulous journalist & should be discredited in everything he does, I happened to find the McCain question kind of funny. The corrections made by Salon only state that O'Keefe was helping out at the conference and rather than planning and executing it and that O'Keefe chose to leave his position at the Leadership Institute rather than being let go. Interesting that HTWW shows just one side of the video. I saw Blumenthal's response and Breitbart comes off looking like a loon. And yes, there is something worse than calling someone a racist... its employing one and then covering up for one like Breitbart does.

I think the worst thing about him is that he knows he is lying about people, but wants to smear them anyway. I went to his website and found ridiculous statements about Eli Wiesel and others. One thing I don't understand is what does Blumethal's confrontation of the McCain's have to do with the charge? I happen to think there is nothing wrong with confronting political figures and asking them to present their ideas. Especially when you find those ideas destructive, which I think anti-safe sex platforms do. This is true regardless of whether Blumenthal made inappropriate racist allegations at ANOTHER point.

In fact the only thing you can show is that he made irresponsible comments in regards to one single issue. I happen to think you make irresponsible comments all the time, but I still listen to you because you occasionally make a good point and I am aware that people who often use poor logic can occasionally stumble across a valid point. If Blmethal makes an irresponsible comment it does not necessarily reflect on the rest of his reporting.

And was the only way to confront Blumenthal by having four our five cameras and at least half a dozen people ambush him (somehow getting poor sound and poor footage?) plus having someone confront him by immediately calling him names then asking questions? I wasn't primarily attacking the quality of the footage, that was just a side comment (it was in parenthesis) because I thought it was funny that the footage HTWW used was so bad considering all the camera's present.
I was mainly addressing the fact that while this video is VERY convincing that Blumenthal unfairly called O'Keefe a racist (an undoubtably terrible charge & not one to be taken lightly in my opinion) & that Blumenthal used unscrupulous tactics to do so.

Unfortunately I find many, if not most, people involved in the journalistic endeavor are capable of this type of behavior from time to time. Therefore it doesn't really convince me that Blumethal is always an unscrupulous journalist & should be discredited in everything he does, I happened to find the McCain question kind of funny. But like I said, I will have to look into it further.
