  • Brutal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thanks much for this! One of the first grind bands I got into. Excruciatingly heavy album.

  • By shit, I mean completely badass.

  • Simply put, this song is the shit.

  • sickenly beautiful

  • No headbanging ! No moshing !

    What is this ?

    D:

    Good video :)

  • I think what amazes me the most is the the lack of movement, besides a few moments of headbanging... It's still like that at local shows (Seattle Area)... Nonetheless, very good video for the time!

  • @Metallistad fo me i think it shows theyr actually listening to the music rather than jumpin about like tits.i headbang at motorhead concerts and shit coz its just motorhead.if i was watching something like this i would stand and admire the genius

  • @louiscfc93 Oh, I wouldn't doubt it. Just a litte movement... That's all.

  • @louiscfc93 Carcass is pretty simple throughout their career. It would make more sense if you're talking about a tech-death band like Spawn of Possession or something of that caliber. Not that that makes this any less amazing though

  • good old times of carcass!

    love it!

  • does someone knows what they used to my those badass vocals?

    echo??reverb??

  • @postmortem57 they used pitch shifters

  • Comment removed

  • @Behrial sorry man,you are right,i mess up songs cause i`m mess up my self

  • Carcass is my soundtrack, when im taking a shit.

  • Bill Steer's growls on the first 3 albums are just unworldly

  • @xAsThePalacesBurnx I know dude, hes the only one to get that sound without a pitch-shifter.

  • carcassssssssssssssssssssssssssssss cabronesssssssssssss gore grinddddddddddd

  • Tunes help you breathe more easily ;) Love it. S0d the lyrics, lovin the riffs.

  • 1:56 Wow, the echo on Bill's vocals is just amazing!

    Thanks for sharing!

  • thats crazy how the bass player's got two mics, i want to do that now hahaa my band Path to Annihilation is currently looking for a VOCALIST, anyone interested just let us know on myspace

  • @bonekrusher007 Ones for singing the other is for pitchshifting. . .hehe

  • I have this WHOLE DAMN GIG on my Mp3 :D :D :D

  • @HyperVoldo How did you get it, I want it on my iPod as well.

  • @james30721 It came on a DVD along with the compliation album 'Wake up and Smell the Carcass'

i just ripped it from there ^^

  • @HyperVoldo u gonna share?

  • Ahhh good music- but could never find a girlfriend to share this with!

  • @LeamingtonSteve lol Same here. Ironically, my ex got me into their Heartwork era stuff. The first time I ever heard their stuff. lol Now, she is engaged to my best friend and she hates my guts, and I don't really care for their heartwork stuff (It's still badass as hell though) but I like Symphonies of Sickness a FUCK lot more..

  • @LeamingtonSteve my gf shares my love for grindcore and crustpunk

  • id say bill steer is the best underground scene guitarist

  • The best band that ever existed in extreme music, Hail Jeff, Bill and Ken

  • @1Heretic u forgot ammot :P

  • Reek of putrefaction > symphonies of sickness > necroticism > garbage pop metal albums

  • Fucking awesome!!!! But guys Carcass and Napalm Death. Both Bands are awesome, bothe bands wrote history of metal or say Grind. Doesn't matter.. It'S music we like. Long Live Carcass and Napalm Death....

  • Bill's speech if funny, 19-20 years old :)

  • They played this tour in Holland, and did a gig at the "New Music Festival".The festival brought new styles of music to the general public. The hall was filled with suits and ties!!We were like wtf?

The audience got their New Mucic expierience allright.

The suits and ties were gone before Carcass played their 3rd song!

They ruled, even in a theatre.

  • carcass is way harder to play because of there song structure and they write extremley technical riffs and they put tons of different riffsand bridges and accents into thier songs they are very tight were as napalm is more loose and kind of slopy nothing against napalm there one of my favorite bands and they are amazing live but carcass will always be the more technical and I am a musican (drummer ,maybee not a musican)( that is in response to wheretheslime live.) long live the gods of grind

  • This was at Rock City, and I came down from Huddersfield to see this gig! Twenty years on, I still have concussion, tinnitus and several bruises.

Napalm Death headed the bill that night, but Carcass were on top form. Ahhh, great daze....

  • This video footage is really awesome. Classic.

  • VERY VERY GOOD!

  • Carcass rules

  • Those guys yelling "Carcass!" at the beginning sounded like kid at my school named Sergio who went to Special Ed.

  • wow

    how is this emo?? wtf?

they look nothin like devil wears prada or fucking bringmethehorizon.. i didnt hear any pig squealing

  • @CocainePolitics its even more retarded that your perspective of "emo" became the bands you mentioned based on where it came from. emo, at its DIY roots has nothing to do with making bucks or being mall turds who want to get themselves up on a pedestal (most "original emo" bands played on floors, not stages, on purpose). so goes the punk rock history for consumerism, and becomes retarded deformation for metal/rock/small market capitalism (aka record labels)

  • Old CARCASS rules

  • troll detected

  • james619 - Napalm Death is overrated. Carcass is far superior! That's why Bill left Napalm. Death metal should be about death and gore, not politics. And yes...Grind is Death Metal...

mirra10 - They use pitch shifter quite a bit. I would imagine that's what the second mic is for. Odd, because Bill usually uses the pitch shifter not Jeff.

  • Carcass' lyrics aren't all about death and gore so your argument does not worth shit ( heartwork ,swansong. btw those albums are awful) . Also I saw both carcass and ND in the last year and ND's live show destroys the shit out of carcass'. ND are energetic as hell live and still play a lot of their grind material. Carcass looked like tired zombies, they didn't move at all on stage and played a terrible setlist (mostly heartwork) with something like 2 songs on 15 from their grind catalogue.

  • Most of 'Heartwork' is about Death...douche. 'Swansong' has a couple tracks about death too...douche. My argument "does" not worth shit...take a grammer lesson...douche. Carcass moves less on stage because their music is more mentally demanding than Napalm's...douche.

  • I didn't say heartwork doesn't have any lyrics about death I said that not all the songs were, try to learn reading you asshole. Btw, english is not my first language so you can shut the fuck up about the only mistake I made in that whole paragraph. It's funny that you, who is from US wrote "grammer" instead of "grammar" and then shit on the way I write lol!! Napalm's music easier to play than carcass'? I'd say its about equal. Are you a musician? If yes explain how Carcass' music is any harder

  • YES Carcass' music is WAY harder to play than Napalm Death's. If you'r talking Heartwork and Necroticism than yes, they have guitar solos, and a lot of intricite guitar parts. Napalm for the most part plays chords at high speeds, which I dont really have a problem with, thats just their style even when Bill was in the band.

But in my opinion Napalm stopped being grind a long time ago. They do still have some grind elements in their songs, but they are not the same anymore.

  • I would also like to point the fact that grindCORE (which nd plays) derives from hardcore punk so it is totally logic that the lyrics treat about politics, which isn't the case with early carcass since they played GOREgrind. And no Death Metal and grind are not the same altough goregrind ressembles more DM than grindcore. and FYI I am a total fan of early carcass it's only sad that they stopped playing good material after 4 years as opposed to ND who has been grinding since 1/4 th of a century.

  • its the beatles!!

  • Can anyone identify Bill's guitar here? Kind of looks like a Jackson but the logo on the headstock looks to small?

  • that bass drum sounds horrible

  • horrible hahaha what do you have nightmares?

  • wat

  • They do such an amazing job live!

  • He sings like Timmey from South Park.

    Timmey!!! :D

  • LOOOL! He sooo does!

  • haha that made me laugh! but it's true as hell! hahah

this band kicks ass! but i kinda like napalm better. :))

  • fucking nice

  • the impressive thing is that bill steer today is identical to here, after 19 years

    maybe he's an highlander? :D

    btw respect carcass

  • Hahahahahaha

  • carcass is the best band

  • you dipshit, carcass helped pioneer the grind sound. I've never even heard of nique ton foetus but from some quick searchs as far as I can tell they are a bunch of no talent bums who were brutally raped as children.

  • Please kill yourself. With Love -xxx-

  • thats what im sayin necrotism and symphonies of sickness were my 2 favorites

  • they are kickass

  • Those guys at the beginning yelling "Carcass!!!" sound like this one kid at my school named Sergio who is in special ed.

  • What's the deal with the bed sheet above the drummer?

  • They used a film projector to show footage of autopsies, car crash victims, and other nasty shit.

  • this IS metal

  • i saw them on this tour. they ruled.

  • The Pride of Merseyside right there haha

  • "Oy Bill, can i have your setlist!"

  • for me too is their best

  • Reek of purification is their best and anybody who wants to fight me believing heartwork is the best then lets fight

  • its all personal opinion.good thing ther both from the same band so we dont have to fight because there great.y r metal fans always fighting about wats better then wat.. in this case your fighting about two albums from the same band.thats y sum ppl in metal bands are afraid to go for certain ideas.because metalfans are so critical.. for therecord in interviews jeff walker and billsteer both say heartwork was the ultimate showcase of there talent.. watch some interviews.i agree with the band tho

  • Firstly i don't care what they think. And secondly scared of changing musical direction means your a pussy

  • I say R--k the vote but thats my opinion :)

  • Dude, if you are gonna be that vocal about your choice of Carcass, at least spell it right. It's Reek of Putrefaction.

  • Just right!you gave justice bro!!!

  • ...What about Necroticism album?

  • Necroticism, is my personal favorite album. Its some where halfway between Symphonies of Sickness and Heartwork.

  • I'd say Symphonies is their best.

  • Symphonies > Necroticism > Reek > Heartwork > Swansong for me, but all Deaththers have to dedicate a worship to all their albums.

  • Fuck yes!! I wish I could have seen them at this show, Carcass during the Symphonies' era were at their best.

  • Amazing quality. Amazing band too.

  • "I think its ment to be a bass drum..." "someones knockin at the door" lol

  • there should be at least one copy of Symphonies Of Sickness album in every hotel room in Amerreeca

  • Administering watery gore

    UR'E SCREAMING OUT FOR MORE

    ADDDDDDICTED TO THE PUTREFACTIIIIIIIIIIIION

    AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

  • Today this performance would be 19 years old wow this is old performance well this just turned 19 today happy birthday performance

  • yeah

  • i like their old shit, when they were more grind

  • Pre Heartwork is their best IMO

  • Yeah The last 2 were pretty dull.

  • That is a freakishly long neck for that bass!

  • hahaha actuly that bass inst that big its just jeff is super short!

  • 1:51 - 2:35

Bill Steer & Carcass @ their best.

  • what guitar does bill steer have in this vid?

  • bill steer fucking rules!

  • what's the name of this song? reek of putrefaction is the album.

  • Not. This song is called " Reek Of Putrefaction " from the second album " Symphonies Of Sickness ". This song isn't in the first album " Reek Of Putrefaction ".

  • I have some other Carcass songs from this tour if any one wants to check em out....

"some ones knocking on the door let him in" WTF funny but weird

  • Upload 'em! NOW!

  • well go too my channel and you'll see a few geeze

  • looking at these comments from what i have to assume are younger metalheads makes me proud of the genre, and glad that youngsters can still recognize quality

  • Yeah man slipknot are the shit!!!

Nah,old school Carcass, reek and symphonies 'all the way'...and Im merely 14!

    ye cool.

  • me too! fuck all thos mallcore emo bitchs

  • mallcore i gotta remember that one ! lol

  • exellent song

    yeahhh!!!!!!!

  • most grind bands that use pitshifting sound like crap

  • They used to use pitchshifters on occasion, but they stopped after their second album, and they didnt over use it like most other grindcore bands, and fail at it

  • Ha brilliant. That the Rock City gig? I was there. Still got my original copy of Grindcrusher album with the free single. I only played it once and really looked after it as I knew these bands would be big.

  • awesome vid

  • *real* grindcore right here :D

  • Jeff Walker's cheating... Has anybody noticed that he's using a pitchshifter on his vocals? Hear him thanking the crowd after the song ends...

  • you are right, but he only uses it to add some growls between his regular singing.

  • uhhhhh, so what?? i can't think of any goregrind band that DOESN'T use pitch shifters(at least sometimes). the whole point is to sound more disgusting and monstrous. have you even listened to "Reek of Putrefaction"?

  • There are two mics: one for the pitched shifted additional 'really gore' growling, which he uses only sometimes, and the other for his normal "ducky" voice :)

Deep growlings were usually done by Bill Steer on the early records as well.

  • a quite macabre addiction...

  • What a great band Carcass is...

    The best metal

  • dude this looks like it was recorded in freakin 2005 lol the quality is amazing

  • why not 2004?

  • If Carcass go on tour and do Nottingham again, I will be one of the happiest people alive. Didn't get to see them first time round, but if they carry on with this re-union then you never know.

  • Großartiger Song,

hab die irgendwann mal Anfang der 90 er in Frankfurt in der Batschkapp gesehen....

Publikum von Yuppie bis Punk, dolle !

  • man this blows away any modern death core faget shit..shitty metal core mixed with beatdown hardcore with pig squeals..and other variants sad indeed..at least carcass reek of putrefaction album is a testament to how awesome this shit was when it first came out.

  • which kind of guitar has bill steer got??

  • I always assumed it was a jackson cause of the head but idk

  • Gods of grind.

  • Great Music!!!

  • FUCK YEA CARCASS!!

  • carcass are the pioneers on grind core

  • I think he used to wear the t-shirt of a quite good american grind/death band called "Nausea"

  • Something obsesses me : WHAT'S WRITTEN ON BILL STEER'S SHIRT ? He used to wear that shirt on every pics of the Symphones of sickness era, but hell I can't seem to read the damn logo. If anyone knows, PLEASE TELL ME !!

  • In this video he wears the Nausea's t-shirt, in the other photos I saw him wearing a simple black t-shirt and another with a strange logo, probably not the same of this video of course.

  • Thank you, it obssessed me since I know Carcass... How the hell could I not recognize the Nausea logo ?

  • Man, thats funny!!!!Same with me since the early nineties!!!! I think its a nausea shirt, but im not 100percent sure!

  • Amott hardly wrote anything other than a few leads.

  • This is real Carcass.

  • I still remember the first time I heard the LP at my bestfriend's house back in 1989, it still stands as one of the greatest albums ever made, PERIOD! Every song on the album is a cut...

  • yep its goregrind man they were like the founders of that shit

  • yep its goregrind man they were like the founders of that shit

  • The True Carcass is Bill Steer - Ken Owen - Jeff Walker.

Amott wasn't the right person for Carcass

  • Carlo wasn't, Amott was perfect because he added the extra solo which make Carcass's song more insane.

  • Youre so right, man!

  • awesome.

amott is not needed for this band.

  • this album is the fuckin best of carcass!

  • I agree, and how many more times will I see myself at that gig!! young, time marches on ya know...............

  • aaa dude its goregrind

  • los grandes jefes del fucking grind

  • awesome!

  • Ah the good old days...

  • Bill steer is the guitarist...this song kicks ass.

  • Is Bill Steer the bassist?

  • esta bn chido

  • They are fucking reuniting at wacken! Hell fucking yes!

  • what kind of metal is that?

  • good matal

  • hahahah great metal
