  • yep and this game turns your nomad tamperatury into a 32bit system.

wich was extreamly it,s time forward in 1995 cuzz the gba had to be come in the future.

  • Afaik, nope. You need to switch the signal manually in order to have a different video mode. Or you can get a flashcard, convert the roms into a 60hz display but leaving the region as it is.

  • can you do the ntsc/pal without a switch? ive seen a few pages on internet telling you how do it but i dont know if its genuine

  • Well since mine is a proto, its builtin. Anyway you can mod the nomad as you wish, using a break-before-operate switch with 3 or 2 position. The mod itself is very easy to perform. Just google for Nomad 50/60hz mod.

  • can you put in a 31x on the nomad, id love some portably doom

  • where do you get the switch from to convert to pal/ntsc?

  • Its a mod, in fact this nomad differs from the original one because its acutally a prototype.

Theres a switch which enables you to switch to three modes:

    1) PAL

    2) Debug Bios Genesis mk-29a

    3) USA/JAP

The switch is rudimental and its on the right side: opening the nomad confirms that is not a mod performed since the switch is soldered to the main board with his own traces.

  • how did you get a proto when only 20 prototypes were made? all given to each major AAA developers?

  • Its from a private collection from a friend over uk.

Im pretty sure that he had some connection with sega uk, back in times.

I cant say much more about this.

  • Is the NTSC/PAL/JP switch a modification or comes built in?
