I have encountered myself one that I call the shadow man. It is a figure of a man I see while walking down a road near my own home. The road itself is completely dark with no light whatsoever, besides the faded lights pouring out of the homes on that street. The only other light I see is at the end of the road-where I see this man/woman. I have also found on numerous occasions shirts, pants, etc. with a wire (which I assume takes the shape of a garrote)

I live less than 2 minutes away from Zeeland, Michigan, where I used to live for 7 years. In the first years I moved there, a woman had burned her young daughter in their house for no apparent reason. Now, the house that was burned has been fixed and people live there, but I hear that sometimes at night you can see the girl in the window. It's pretty creepy. I'm not sure if it's true or not, I probably never will be. I'm not brave enough to enter the house. :/

Here is a local one in Colorado. There's these tunnels that are up around pikes peak that used to be apart of a railroad system that was abandoned & if you drive up at night and go halfway through it & stop & turn off your car lights & all for about a minute. Then drive out get out your car & there are kid handprints in the dust on your car. (It's a dirt road now) They say its because a rail car full of children died in the third tunnel when it collapsed on there way to Cripple Creek.
