This was a great song from later in the band's long career. In fact, you might note in this video that Ray Sawyer is not even present so this particular video was probably taped after Ray left the band in the 1980s. Ron H. (musical director) and the band re-invented themselves more than once but there is good music to be found in all phases on the band's history. Blessings & peace, leh+

Umm well there are two incarnations of Dr. Hook (and the Medicine Show). In the earlier one it was about 50/50 for Ray and Dennis on lead vocal.

iang I believe Jans Garfat who was a guitarist and definately Dave Wolters the drummer Dennis loccoorie live in England is very popular there Ray Sayyer lives south U.S.A and pays Ray to tour under Dr. Hook "Featuring Ray Sawyer" And they do not speak to each other unfortunately

Jance Garfat was the bassist and John Wolters the drummer (both sadly no longer with us). Dennis does indeed live in the UK. Ray's band also includes Dr. Hook keyboardist Billy Francis. The two guitarists in the video are Rik Elswit and Rod Smarr (who still records with Dennis sometimes). The other keyboardist in the video - not a member of Dr. Hook - is probably Shane Keister or another session musican.

It is so live that the drummer's fills don't match, he plays something different. Look at 2:58, the fill is missing the last part. This was recorded in the studio without the vocal, then he sang live with the backing track.

His voice is live, but if you look at the band, their guitars are not plugged in, the drums have not mics except the drummers vocal, so the band is not playing live, also as I stated below, the drum fill is not the same as the music.

no, they finished quite a few years ago, 2 of the band have sadly passed away.

Dennis still tours though, saw him at the Robin 2 in Bilston on the 05.06.08.

Just him, & 3 guitars for 2 hours and he was superb, at 59, voice is still great.
