It is a shame that this family is the sham it is now. A SHAME. I miss these days so much I could just cry to no end. Oh, and Joan Collins is NO Alexandra. Bev & Marj are the only Alexandra's in my book. That girl is awful. Ahh, but thank you for these memories of the best show ever.

I missed these episodes when they first aired, but I have to say it looks like Joan Collins brought a new energy to the show and to the Spaulding family. Too bad she didn't hang around for a year or two. (But how did Alexandra suddenly acquire a British accent?)

On the other hand, it might be best she left when she did. There's no way that Joan Collins would put up with stumbling around the frozen woods in New Jersey, as all the GL actors are required to do nowadays.

I don't know why people say that GL wasn't that good in 2002.I think this is a great scene. Well anything dealing with the Spaulding's is good.

I think that Beverlee McKinsey was a good Alex. I also think that Joan Collins is good as well. Marj Dusay is good but at times it looks like her acting is quiet lazy.Mostly now. I liked her on "Capitol".

I also think that the first Alan was the best but the current one who's been playing the role for about 13 years is good as well.

Joan Collins as Alexandra was stunt casting it had to be for Sweeps. I think Bervelee Mckinsey and Marji Dusay are the true Alex. Joan will always be Alexis Carriginton or she is always typecast to pay bitchy roles lol!

Ron Raines plays the current Alan btw! Dainel Pilon was the second I can't remeber the first actor

Christopher Bernau played Alan Spaulding from 1977-1984,and 1986-1988,Daniel Pilon played the role from 1988-1989,and Ron Raines been Alan since 1994.

You know something, out of all the daytime TV soaps I have seen, the acting seems to be quite impressive on this show. Better than "Passions", "All My Children", "D.O.O.L." and DEFINITELY better than "Santa Barbara". That lady giving the speech is very good, what's her name? The actress I mean. Another thing, this show isn't cheap looking like the other's, this show looks quite more like a primetime series than a daytime.

Beverlee McKinsey will always be Alexandra to me, but Joan did an excellent job with the part. I can't say I ever liked Marj Dusay's portrayal--mostly because Marj has had the misfortune of playing the part when the writing was at its worst for the character.

i liked Marj Dusay when she was on the show for the first couple years. the scene "the night Roger was shot" with her and Roger shouting at eachother at Nick and Mindy's party was some of her best work.
