Merry Christmas. Very nice version. May I copy it? I will cite you as the person who showed this to me. I am teaching my son guitar and ukulele. This, your, version would be nice to show him (my son) some more variety to finger picking techniques. Again, very good.
@alohakikadude. Sure, that's fine. That is the ultimate compliment! That is so awesome to teach your son guitar and uk. Although my son is very musical, I tired teaching him guitar, and he really didn't have much interest. :(
@AustinC123ras. Sorry for the delay in responding. I won't be able to do a lesson on this any time soon, but I do have some tab that I learned this from. It's not exactly how I play it as I have modified and changed it in some places. Send me a PM with your email address, and I'll send it to you.
@MrRomont. That is exactly like my SM-Rose except I think your PK has peacocks inlaid in the fretboard. Mine has two salmons inlaid. I love mine as well! Too bad Crafter isn't more well known here in the U.S.
Thank you so much! Yeah, I had just got this guitar 2 days before this recording and hadn't changed the strings. This guitar has such a sweet sounds with new strings...it's incredible!
Thank you. It's a Crafter SM Rose. I fell in love with it the minute I picked it up at my local guitar shop. My wife got it for me for Christmas 2008. It plays so easy and does sound wonderful even with strings that are 8 months old as you hear in this video.
@pickerman4 Thats the first thing i noticed, how easy it was to play. The strings are so low, i fucking love this thing! I wanted one for about 3 years now.
Yes, this is in drop D. I play my instrumental version in the key of D, but when I sing Silent Night, I play it in G. I noticed that you play your fingerstyle version in G. Very nice! I do have tab for this arrangement somewhere around here. I'll have to dig it up. The tab, won't exactly match what I'm playing as I made some changes to it. Send me a message with your email address and I'll send it to you when I find it.
Wow! Thanks! Yes, years of practice and playing this particular guitar makes it easy. Actually, not that easy, it took me a couple of "takes" to get it right!
Thank you. And I thank you for your time as well. If I can bring an ounce of inspiration and happiness to people through my music, then I've done my job.
Thanks again Utautada. I wish I could say that the whole arrangement is mine. This is actaully an arrangement that I learned, and then made some changes to match my style. So I guess it is kind of my arrangement...sort of. ~George~
Thanks. Yes, Crafter makes a wonderful guitar. This guitar was love at first sight and play. Crafter is not too well known here in the U.S., but I know they are quite popular in the U.K.
Hey George - very nice brother.

you sure it's drop D and not Open D? I play a version of this that looks similar to yours, but I tune to Open D.

It's definitely drop D. I've never played in open D, but would like to some day when I have time to spend on it. Thanks for stopping by.
