  • Utterly brilliant. She is such amazing talent. Seriously, I listen to lyrical rap and I see its beginings. Anyone with an ear for it will see it.

  • I simply adore Pam Ayres. She's so unassumingly funny! I always feel, when I see her perform, that it's as if she's accidentally wandered onto a stage and found an audience she has to talk to, and does so brilliantly!

  • Were these poems written with children in mind? Or is she just a simpleton?

  • Pam Ayres is not just a marvellous poet, but also a fabulous story teller. Love the sentiments!

  • Now this is incredibly strange ... as I watched this just now and the second poem was drawing to an end, and I was starting to drift off and lose focus on her lecture, she barked without warning 'Don't pick your spot!' at the exact moment I was really doing it - in reality - entirely by coincidence!! It wasn't even a joke!!! It woke me with such a start that my hand shot away from my face to obey and I stared at her photo in fright for a moment before laughing my head off!!

  • Amazing she's a mum now, when she used to be the young poetess!

  • she is awesum

  • she is awesum along her kpoems

  • Pam you're a legend......

  • Great wordplay I had a book of her stuff when I was a kid, its good to finally hear her speak them. If you like wordplay have a wee look at Kerou's cartoons just google it, well worth a look

  • Yeah looked at Kerous work nothing good there.

  • Dolly on the Dustcart heard soooo many times as a child may very well to blame for the annoying rhyming poems I unleash on the public now days..

  • seriously underated...."Britishness" is a joke now. She finessed us in the 70's

  • Lovely poems and great British humour. Got a poem forwarded which says "Oh, I wish I'd looked after my tits" rather than teeth. Wonder if Pam expanded from the teeth to the tits or whether it's a different take of Pam's poem by someone else?

    Does anyone know?

  • Yer, have seen that poem as well. It has all the hallmarks of an Eyres poem, but can't answer your question. Would be interested to know too.

  • I can understand these poems. She is totally underated!

  • Woo Pam Ayres!!!

  • God, I`d forgotten all about Pam Ayers, this takes me back so far that I`m ashamed to say how far.....she sounds like an echo of another time...one that i used to live in :0 )

  • i love pam ayres
