“There is almost no country in Africa where it is not essential to know to which tribe, or which subgroup of which tribe, the president belongs. From this single piece of information you can trace the lines of patronage and allegiance that define the state.” - Christopher Hitchens. In this video, AFT's blatherings allow Hitchens' statement about tribalism to ring true. You may like his guitar playing, but AFT was...well, you know the rest.
@beeroosterm ONE African - @cumar2000- has completely shattered your brain and ass but your 2 functioning synapses inspire you to get ALL Africa on your already destroyed back? You’re an absolute racist idiot and you disqualified yourself when you wrote: “ I have ONLY ONCE witnessed an act that I would consider racist. When I was in 4th grade, a group of black KIDS BOMBARDED our out of town school bus with ROCKS and called us "whitey”. You live on the moon?
@axygreen The problem is with those who worship others no matter their obvious shortcomings. Like Cuntmar, you refuse to examine AFT in light of what he says - his personal opinions. As such, he is as racist as they come - as this video proves without question. That he doesn't recognize it as such is unsurprising due to the fact he is a tribalist through and through, which is why I put the Hitchens quote out there. What's your excuse?
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@Leemo707 No. We just shifted to a different video to continue our "arguments". The more I learn about AFT, the less I respect his cultural perspectives - not that I respected them before. He is a primitive tribalist; worried about spirits and other such nonsense as this rant makes very clear. He obviously is poorly read and does not understand the concepts underlying American culture and its Constitution, And he doesn't know shit about John Lee Hooker..
@beeroosterm 1. AFT haven't had the opportunity to go to school and yet it's crystal clear he's much more intelligent, knowledgeable and civilized than you (the cut-and-paste armchair intellectual) ever can dream of. 2. He played with JLH as an equal whereas you claim to have been a musician for 35 years and you even don't dare to show a second of your music on YT - a site full of music where you waste so much time humilating yourself by baselessly criticizing other people's abilities!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@Cumar2000 Yes, it's the infamous Cuntmar - AFT's biggest apologist - coming to answer for his weaknesses. Whatever his musical accomplishments, AFT was a primitive, uneducated, superstitious farmer. He clung to all his superstitions despite all his exposure to the world at large, and his unsophisticated understanding of the world led him to making obscenely racist declarations like the ones in this video. And he was not the equal of John Lee Hooker.
@beeroosterm AFT doesn't need apologists and nothing is more human than having weeknesses. Nevertheless, despite the flood of comments you place on YT, you couldn't convince a single person, beast, plant or ET of your preposterous misconceptions. Quite on the contrary! Notwithstanding your self-annihilating claim to intellect, integrity, education, civilization...., you've only displayed ad nauseum you're a 24/7 unscrupulous, narcissistic, bigotted, malevolent, ignorant, professional moron.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@Cumar2000 Disciples like you and the posters here can never be convinced; your intransigent faith cannot be shaken, regardless of objective truth. And AFT was indeed weak; he was ignorant of reality, expressing the standard racist thought patterns of the unenlightened and weak-minded. But because he was a famous black man you seem to think he was infallible. I hold no misconceptions; it is you who put the halo over a simple man's head...
@beeroosterm You do your utmost, but you superbly fail to recruit "any of the 7 billion earth dwellers" for any of your misconceptionS about many people and subjects. How come? Imo because "the only halo we behold around here is the totally obscure one you blocked your head with... for your exclusive self-glorification and jeering taunts by everybody else!"
Tip: You don't have to prove with each comment that you're beyond dumb and despicable. The universe is already well informed.
@beeroosterm It's obviously you who don't understand YOUR American culture/constitution. E.g.: You regularly and wrongly defend your pathetic trolling on the premise that this is an open forum, that you're entitled to an opinion etc. And how do you react to those who, on basis of exactly the same principles, crush your fiddle-faddles? You contradict yourself by helplessly and childishly shouting "fuck off, shut up, go away, die..." and a shipload of internet clichés!
@Leemo707 We didn't shift to a different video, as beeroosterm purports. After the usual routine (provoking, lying, insulting, crying, running away, hibernating till those who dismantled his ass were gone...), the village idiot restarted proudly exhibiting his boundless stupidity to the whole world on another video (watch?v=7fa4qmktM5o). I've just seen his comments were removed. Understandable but also a pity coz (my) reactions to his farts don't make much sense now.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@Cumar2000 Your obsession with me is bizarre, going so far as to follow me around and then posting links to videos I've commented on to show others how diligent you've been. You obviously have very little to do to make such a fuss. I'm surprised you even have an internet connection given that your home country is the poorest, most violent and lawless "nation" on earth.
@beeroosterm 'm only answering TO your absurd fuss and continuously foolish provocations. Take it or stuff it! It's obvious your morbid idiocy and immorality consider your gratuitous insults and attacks on a dead man, whose heels you can never reach, as the greatest achievement of your life. As a German-American, you'd have reached for the stars. Don't blame yourself for the most basic skills you apparently lack aren't on sale at Walmart. Guns are!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@Cumar2000 On the contrary, it was AFT who was being provocative; you're just helping to spread his poisonous beliefs when you should be condemning them. But no...a famous dead black guy from Africa cannot be racist because that would destroy your righteousness. And your racist observation about German-Americans just goes to show you STILL don't get it. Tell me: which Americans would not reach for the stars? You're an idiot.
@beeroosterm Your broken record, that constantly abuses other people's identity to mask (actually expose) your weaknesses, is a gift to humanity?! But 1st mention of your G-A identity to shed light on your missed opportunites is racist?! You equated your G-A card to Afro-American identity to miserably justify your repeatedly proven racism and stupidity! Or do you believe the black slaves were snatched from an Oktoberfest in Munich to a jazz festival in New Orleans? Wouldn't be surprised!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@Cumar2000 You're the broken record, Cuntmar. It doesn't matter what anybody might offer to you as evidence of your folly. I will, however, continue to comment on AFT and his overt racist statements, which somehow pass over the heads of his fans. In America, Christopher Hitchens is famous for stating :The easiest way to gain instant acceptance as a black 'leader' these days is to shove the word Reverend in front of your name". I think it applies to famous black musicians as well.
@beeroostermOh boyish man, aren't you a sight for sore eyes! ALWAYS lavishly dispensing rectum wisdom, clumsily avoiding discussion, distorting other people's words, summoning others to your rescue (bravo for the rare source-crediting, but the quote only anchors your stupidity & racism and can intensify your troubles)... and always brilliantly biting the dust! Before reacting you'd have implored your masters, The Swine or The Fish, to elucidate my free tip. Keep shooting yourself in the feeeet!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@Cumar2000 For such a simple fact, you certainly do protest too much. AFT makes blatantly racist statements in this video; anyone can see/hear them. How is it that you can completely ignore the fact of them? That's right - you're a blind racist yourself. Stinking whore.
@beeroosterm None of the 7 billion but you "can see/hear them", but of course the whole world is plotting against your unique genius and unparalleled geniality! Your führer, The Swine, has apparently ignored you and The Fish stubbornly refuses to comfort Your Idiocy. Time for new teachers? What about a dozen octopus(si)es? That's 144 arms and FEET? Oh no, sorry for pretermitting the animals are also a part of the conspiracy!
@beeroosterm The Queen of Simpletonia's douche, the antediluvian Dr. Puerile Senile VILE (Village Idiot Ltd. Eternally), has spoken intelligently and eloquently. Amen!
@beeroosterm Dude, just go and post on a john lee hooker page, if thats what your into. You need to learn to live with the fact that people see things differently from yourself, and not everyone likes the things you like.
Its one thing to voice your opinion if you dont like something, but look at the energy you've spent argueing on this page, and what did it achieve. Why not spend that energy talking to people that are like minded to yourself, instead of fighting with others that are not?!
@moonsugar1 I gave up on this some time ago, but I'll make a few more comments. The fact that people see things differently than I does not mean they understand the issue(s) at hand; this much is obvious from the flood of negative comments, especially from that douchebag Cumar. And your admonition to find like-minded people on the matter of AFT's racist statements in this video isn't going to happen, as this place is filled with intransigent believers in AFT's simple-mindedness...
@Leemo707 No - just tired of arguing with someone - everyone, it seems - in an attempt to convince them that their hero is someone who, if you examine their values is the exact opposite of what they appear to be. And AFT was a shitty guitar player as well.
@beeroosterm i dunno what you's are arguing about i dont have the time too trace back and look at all your points , but what i can tell you is that you come across as very narrow minded and arrogent when u say that he is a shitty guitar player, he is one of the most highly respected guitarists in the world and you dont acheive that without a lot of skill which he shows in his guitar playing and also by the fact tht @cumar2000 seems to have many likes and you dont have anything ....
@beeroosterm ... but removed comments on the main part and also tht you feel the need to comment me after all this time, around 11minths i believe my last comment was, makes you appear as nothing more than a small bickering child,
@beeroosterm i just had a look over this video because i hadnt watched it for nearly a year , but how can you possibly say that ATF is rascist here ???
@beeroosterm i'm just curious, i'm always open minded to arguments , but from what i've seen of AFT i can't say he's ever sounded at all rascist , but 'm not going to bother reading all the comments.
p.s just cos sumone disagree's with your opinion doesnt make them stupid
I think the main reason why diasporans feel like foreigners is because their current habitat is not on the Continent and also because of admixture with other cultures. The average African who lives locally feels alienated soon as he leaves his native tribe, but home is always close by unlike for diasporans where home is totally elsewhere. They have what I call the dislocation syndrome. The only way to solve this syndrome is to relocate to the Continent.
I totally recognise what he means when he says African souls are the same whether at home or in the diaspora. I don't understand why though, it's really mysterious. In a good way of course.
How I see it as a white american. By his logic, technically there are no white americans either only white people in america - which is kinda true. You have to understand where AFT comes from, Africa where Europeans imposed as a ruling class - AFT himself is speaking french. Saying he can hear African music in the blues puts a connection to a group of american people who have been denied their heritage and culture. Perhaps in the music of the blues, all of it wasn't lost. Ease up, people!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
"Black Americans don't exist"? What a fuckin' asshole. With one short sentence, AFT insults an entire class of people who are proud to be Americans. Racist asshole. Can you really argue his point?
@beeroosterm Toure cannot claim to speak for black Americans as far as self-identification goes, but he's as free as anybody to make cultural observations/theories. What's more, he might actually have a point...
I think you have to take it as a comment specifically on the role of music in ethnicity/culture - music is primal, so that even in the context of mass forcible displacement wherein people completely "lose" the intellectual refinements associated their culture, they "keep" their music.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@benjcole I understand AFT's "point" perfectly. His statements are the same as any vicious racist would use. He equates ethnicity with innate traits; that no matter what, your identity inheres in your DNA. I am uncertain how this seems to escape people - AFT explains his position clearly and in his own words. There can be no other interpretation.
I am not an expert biographer of Toure as you purport to be. I was merely stating my understanding of his words *as they are given in this video.* Perhaps in other places "He equates ethnicity with innate traits; that no matter what, your identity inheres in your DNA" but I didn't get that specific point from this video.
If it is so clear that Toure is a racist, could you direct my attention to some clearer evidence of this point? Again, I am not an expert.
@beeroosterm And for that matter, you didn't exactly respond to my point so much as you simply gave your own. So I have to ask, if AFT is a racist, was my comment also racist since it was partially intended as a defense of his views as they appear in this video? Am I wrong that he is saying something specifically about music?
@beeroosterm Where are you getting that AFT is saying that the music is innate? I take AFT to be saying that African Americans retained their song. No one is sure exactly how the blues developed but no one denies its African roots. It would have been difficult for Africans sold into slavery, often separated from their family to retain their culture. However, retaining their music would've been easier as slaves sang while working the fields.
wow!! thanks for sharing this, this truly opend my eyes..! i have been thinking if the blues came from Africa, now i know it... And i love the sound of this African Blues, atm im downloading 8 albums of this interesting musician!
This is a pretty good tune, but I appear to be the only one here for the music. If you're going to argue, can you do it somewhere else? Except you Cumar2000, your replies are simply legendary.

Christ, each time I look at this video it makes me angrier - and more than ever certain that AFT was a vicious racist. And that those who would disagree on this point do not fundamentally understand racism. And he speaks gibberish as well; he makes no sense. He says "The first time I heard John Lee Hooker I heard his music but I said 'I don't understand this. Where did they come up with this culture?'". The man is confused because he is blinded by his racism. Racists can be any color, people...
Everytime I see your fucking STUPID name it makes me angrier. Stupid, dumbfuck retards like you should be exterminated. If you believe what Toure said was "racist" you are a massively STUPID as you appear.
@712dal Good. I hope you see my name in your fucking sleep. I don't "believe" AFT was racist - I KNOW he was racist. His words in this video incriminate him perfectly. How can you not see otherwise?
@beeroosterm You still can't get a life? The PC is still the only sign of intelligence and integrity in your life? No wonder! You're obviously the prototype of the lowest and most obnoxious loser...and a coward too, even behind your PC! N.B. This is actually a compliment, given the advanced state of putrefaction at Beeroos Ltd.; i.e. limited in all fields. The KKK, Kruger & Dunning or your neo-fascist heroes (e.g. peroxide untermensch Geert Wilders) can definitely fill some of your lacunes.

@Cumar2000 Geert is doing what he can to save his country from islamization at great risk to his life and the lives of his family. He is clearly at risk from violent muslims who would attempt to refute him not by using reason but by killing him. This is the essence of Islam: Submit or die. It is as antithetical to life as can be. This is something I am certain you know well. So fuck islam - and you as well, sir.
@beeroosterm Rendering opinions, obsession with you?! Keep dreaming, Johnny Bravo Junior. I wouldn't have heard of your petty existence if you didn't wear off the soundtrack of your life, viz "Obsessive-compulsive Need for Attention". Now, stop complaining; you're only getting the treatment you're desperately crying for. And yes, I certainly know everybody (incl. the dead fish) is fuxxing Your Holy Lowliness and, believe me, nobody is enjoying it. You suck and stink in every which way possible.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@Cumar2000 You're the one who desperately needs treatment. And I'm tired of explaining the simplest concepts of racism and freedom to a simpleton such as yourself. Your profile says you're located in Somalia - I would think these concepts would be important and obvious. But then I immediately remember you're indoctrinated from birth to think anyone outside islam is an infidel and should be ostracized/killed - and that all is lost, and then I pity you for your wretched life.
@beeroosterm Your tautological blanket statements and pathologically drooling self-pity speak volumes. Despite all your pretentious claptrap, you're proudly and painfully displaying for the umpteenth time your ignorance about and disdain for civil, political and human rights & responsibilities. You hereby majestically unmask your own despicable indoctrination and make any further waste of my time superfluous.
@beeroosterm The reason why you're angry with AFT is all too obvious: He's black, muslim, anti-racist, intelligent, successful, humane and humble - all species you absolutely hate, as your drivel repeatedly proves. You even exhibit your elation with his death! FYI, he's dead and yet he's just won a Grammy whereas you claim to have been a musician for 35 years and this flatulent freak-show-troll is apparently the summum bonum of your achievements! With each comment, you bury yourself alive.Puke!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@Cumar2000 I'm angry with the late AFT because he spewed racist drivel - and you people eat it up as if it were some kind of call to bring people together. But used race as an a qualifier for personal identity - there is nothing more racist than that. If you cannot understand that concept there is no hope for you. I question his intelligence for the same reasons. And your obsession with me is more indicative of pathology than any opinion I may render. And his music still sucks. And fuck islam.
@beeroosterm Just like your mentors, you try to refute AFT's clear denunciation of America's systemic discrimination against blacks/minorities by openly negating this racism, you constantly make xenophobic statements about nations/religions/races, you call individuals who politely send you (back) to school "fucking niggers" (even if they're white!), you worship inferior schizo-paranoid fascists ...! Of course you understand all about racism as you're clearly the only racist brat in the vicinity.
what AFT is saying is true on so many levels. he's saying we're homogeneous. if u can't understand it, don't harm urself by trying...a little genome testing anyone?
I understand beeroosterm now. He is one of those who claims not to 'see race' just individuals' therefore everyone who does so is racist. His is from the church of the individual, where every man is an island and stands alone. Except it's not true, we're in large part of product of our cirumstances. That's why the Germans continue to speak German; few people invent their own tongue. African things were passed down to Africa's new world children, united as they were in the isolation of slavery.

@76auth Of course you understand me. A few posts and I become crystal clear. Amazing how smart you are. Pat yourself on the back, 76...
The fact of the matter is that due to rampant political correctness, (black) people like AFT are allowed to make viciously racist statements while their acolytes dumbly nod in agreement, as this idiot does in the video. And here in America, we DO venerate the individual - hopefully without letting the tyranny of the majority (PC jerks) ruin our lives...
@beeroosterm And I am uncertain as to what you mean by the "church of the individual". In America, the rights of the individual are carefully outlined and guaranteed in an amazing SECULAR document called the United States Constitution - a document that is NOT written in stone, by the way. And Donne was correct - no man is an island. But as Rand stated: "The smallest minority on earth is the individual. Those who deny individual rights cannot claim to be defenders of minorities".

@beeroosterm And AFT is stating here that a man's identity is inherent in his DNA; that no matter where you were born, the culture you were born into, your education, your accomplishments - your identity resides within your skin color. He is saying that any black man's true home is in Africa. This is awful. Racist. Absurd....Open your eyes, people....
@beeroosterm why look at you all patronizing and condescending on your high horse. looks like you completely missed the point of what AFT was saying. you seem to be too practically inclined to seek out flaws here and as such you're statement is nothing but a fallacy. i agree, a lot of black people do seem to get away with "racist" comments etc and feel entitled to all though it is not right. however here, AFT meant that everyone goes back to their roots and so did robert johnson
@beeroosterm he also said that the black people in america lost a lot of what it meant to be an african black but they stayed true at the core. he never made any seemingly racist comments. and yes people's identities to lie in their skin color and its just as prevalent a fact today as it was a century ago. your approach of things seems incredibly idealistic but its not the way the world works. the flaws within communism and capitalism can tell you that idealism and reality are different entirely
@DeportAnchorBabies There is no mistaking what race AFT "identifies as" - nor you as well. And I am minding my own business - which in this case is commenting on racist videos, regardless of the race of the perpetrator. AFT was a vicious racist "hiding" in plain sight. That he was a black man appears to have clouded your judgment - or are you just like him?...

@beeroosterm well known prevalent highly accomplished middle eastern/Indian people are still subject to wanton security checks at airports more than Caucasians are. you are identified by your appearance. a thief is not identified by his credentials. they look at his appearance. unidentified black male. unidentified brown female. if you choose to forget your roots so easily it is truly a sad thing indeed and reaffirms my loss of hope for future generations
@devrocks80 Jesus, what a rambling, worthless waste of space your rant is. Your 1st statement is not provable - just something you assume to be true. If it is, cite your source. As for appearance: people are always judged by their appearance - at first. That is a fact of life everywhere, regardless of color, etc. A suspected thief, whether an UBM or UBF is lawfully judged by evidence. And my family roots are well-known to me but have nothing to do with my individual accomplishments...
@beeroosterm all i can do i gawk open mouthed at just how stupid people such as you are. you seem to be an arrogant douche bag who assumes that he is automatically smarter than everyone else. if my statements are not provable then neither are yours you worthless piece of trash. aft is referring to an art form. one that has retained its roots in africa. i dont give a fuck about your accomplishments cuz at the end of the day you're nothing but a moron on the internet with an above average vocab
@devrocks80 Just give up. You're obviously an angry douchebag who cannot take the time to understand the truth as well as write anything that will hold water logic-wise; in other words, you're a rabble-rouser. You make outrageous claims that obviously have no basis in truth, and when asked to cite your sources counter that you cannot prove your statements - but if you cannot it means that I cannot as well. Completely childish. You make the claim, you provide the proof - it's not up to me. Dick.
@beeroosterm im a rabble rouser? well looks like there are more people against your "frame of thought". the rabble rouser here in fact is you. you talk about truth when aft was clearly addressing the transcendental nature of music, a subjective art. remember opinions are not facts. you talk about logic when none of what you say contains even slight traces of any. and what claim exactly would you be asking me to cite? what you want a wikipedia link? have you provided any proof for yours?then gtfo
1. Many cultures are not fallaciously hyper-individualized the way America is. The world does not work that way. A man on the moon would not have been possible absent the math, physics and engineering work of peope long dead. Africans isloated in slavery did retain aspects of African culture even as they were forced to surrender much. And the mainstream culture isn't entirely original but DERIVED from that of the first English into which other European immigrants assimilated.
@76auth Good Christ, your post is...crap. For instance, I'm uncertain what your third sentence has to do with the first and second. The US put a man on the moon using the combined efforts of several hundred thousand people - whose combined knowledge, billions of dollars, and sheer will made it possible. What this has to do with America being "fallaciously hyper-individualized" in the real world remains unexplained. I suggest you learn how to write cohesively before you post comments. Proofread.
2. Now for non-anglo European immigrants assimilation meant a certain loss. However, in return they gained eventual full acceptance as 'white' americans. Transmission of culture is not through genes but through immersion/family etc. However, you seem to assume black history is one of full integration into America and deny that they came from anywhere at all! Genes only come into play incidentally, insofar as people with the same ancestral home(thus parent culture) tend to resemble.
@76auth I assume nothing about "black history". I go to the library and read and consult online sources with creditable backgrounds before I make decisions. You're assuming facts not in evidence and your statement about genes makes no sense - just like your other post. You're out of your depth in a kiddie pool, 76...
@beeroosterm aft says that any black mans true home is in africa. and that is what you have been attacking all along. cite your sources that say black men are not from africa. cuz until now i was under the impression all black people were slaves from russia :S
@devrocks80 Can you possibly be any more ignorant? My neighbor - who is black - is from St. Louis, Missouri; he was born and raised there. He now lives in my town. Now, if a man came along and said to him "your true home is in Africa", I am certain he would say "no, my home is here, but I was born and raised in St. Louis. I am an American citizen". Only a racist - citing his skin color - would say his "true home" is in Africa. That's KKK stuff. Is this becoming clearer?
@devrocks80 This just keeps getting harder. I well understand some ancestor of his is from Africa - but HIS IDENTITY IS NOT DETERMINED BY HIS SKIN COLOR! How much more obtuse can you be? This is the question with all who argue like you and AFT and his acolytes. I have had enough - you're too ignorant, too well-conditioned to the opposite understanding of what racism truly is. Until you do, you're on a fool's errand. This is the last comment I will make. Please go do your homework.
@beeroosterm "the blacks left with their culture and they kept it" he is obviously referring to their artistic inspiration. "but the biography, the ethnicity, the legends they lost" the reason you neighbor would feel alienated in africa. he retains africa. it is part of who he is even if he lives in america. the hip hop beats that came around in the 80s all have percussion reminiscent of african tribes. this is what aft was saying and you sir are just too stupid to grasp it.
@devrocks80 No, you're just too jaded to accept that a famous African black man has an axe to grind and makes obvious racist statements to "back up" his unfounded claims. And my neighbor would only feel alienated in Africa to the extent I would feel alienated traveling to Germany: the language and culture are foreign to me because I am a native-born American. The extent to which I carry on the customs of my ancestors does not make me German. The same applies to my neighbor and Africa. Eat shit.
@beeroosterm no you're just too stupid to understand what he meant. of course your neighbor would feel alienated and aft agreed too. although im sure most of his artistic flairs, if any will still be reminiscent to that of africans. customs are not the same as artistry and for some reason you are too stupid to be able to understand that simple concept. the extent to which you carry your claims without any semblance of understanding is mind boggling. the only shit im metaphorically eating
@beeroosterm i also love how you just completely diverted from the topic. and i emoby the dunning-kruger effect? think again smartass cuz all you do is ramble on about nonsense with no factual evidence to back yourself up so gtfo ans do the world a favor and stfu. you are nothing but a wart on the asshole of society
@devrocks80 oh and your German ancestry does make you Germanic. regardless of whether or not you carry your ancestors customs or not you are german. if you see an indian person on the streets of new york. you call them indian. if you see a chinese person on the streets of san francisco, you call them chinese regardless of whether their grandparents came and settled in america 100 years ago and they hold american passports. this is common, its extraordinarily prevalent and you may deny it now
@devrocks80 If I go to Germany, the Germans call me an American. If I go to Italy, they call me an American. If I go to France, they call me an American. If I go to Canada, they call me an American. Regardless of my ethnic heritage, to everybody in a non-USA country, I am an American. Now, if an American (born and raised) with Chinese heritage goes to Germany, is he Chinese or is he American? It is a measure of your racism that you declare somebody's identity with their skin color.
@beeroosterm *sigh* your idealism disillusions you to say the least and as such you perceive yourself to be above others. its pointless talking to you. have a good day sir
@devrocks80 I agree it is pointless, but for a different reason. I have no illusions regarding your inability to understand....that you do not understand.
@devrocks80 Yes - here I go again. Perhaps if I write it enough, you and your fellow acolytes will finally see the logic - which by the way is as simple as can be...
@beeroosterm We definitely see the simple logic behind your provocative reactions everywhere on YT, and probably on many other sites: An old, male simpleton who can't find/hold a descent job or hobby due to social and/or intellectual ineptitude or decay and blames everybody for his failure. Your brilliant solution? Attention whoring! I pity the fool and that's why I'll occasionally cater to your auto-subscriptions.
@beeroosterm Seen the light or just haring away? I've obviously scratched a sour nerve by simply giving you a taste of your own medicine! Don't know you but I'm somehow convinced you're not that YT caricature who btw deserves no attention. Hopefully, no hard feelings.
Thanks for the gibe at my indecent sspellingg and, due to lack of time and desire, I've to decline the offer to return the honour. Mr.T? I'm not a bouncer, just a pirate and you're welcome on my ships. Farewell and all the best!

@Cumar2000 Part of the the problem with stupid people is that they do not know they're stupid. And you're beyond stupid. Like shooting fish in a barrel, there is no satisfaction in arguing with you.
@beeroosterm Ugh, I'm flabbergasted! I offered you a foolproof life buoy to rescue you from the quicksand you pathetically maneuvered yourself into and how do you react? You obtusely confirm and sign that your YT persona is not a digital caricature but the only shining star in your actual personality through which you expect to fulfill your eternal yearning for satisfaction and success! There is indeed no cure for ignoramus, decrepit idiocy!
@beeroosterm Hiding behind hollow (grammar) "arguments" - as usual!
1. "stupid people do not know they're stupid..."! At least, you can describe yourself perfectly and you've repeatedly projected to the whole world this is the only thing you can do.
2. "Like shooting fish in a barrel..."! Your guns/arguments are so worthless that a dead, blindfolded fish in your hands would burst into laughter and KO you into a permanent coma.
The fish and I are done with you. Sleep well! Adieu!
@devrocks80 but i doubt it would be true. so just cuz you're white that makes you more american and less german than a brown person? cuz im sure you call the brown man who drives your taxi or runs the local 7/11 indian. dont even try to deny it because everyone does it. your arguments are flawed and thus, you sir are an idiot
Just stop talking crap like you did before. in two days we got christmas, so i can't let you go on talking like this. i mean seriously. you should read your stuff down there. this is just not good, or intelligent, or what the crap you claim to be.
@beeroosterm: how could you get so offended by the words of AFT? I mean, i don't agree with him either. but i don't start shouting racist notions. just cool down man.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@mikamesch Being offended is not my problem; I have a big problem with AFT and the people who somehow miss his racist politics. It is AFT who is "shouting" racist ideas - it's just those that worship at his feet somehow do not think he is fallible. AFT was just a musician; and by his statements here a classic racist. That he was black and popular seems to imbue him with some kind of special status whereby his racist statements are ignored. I call him on it - but somehow I'm the racist?
This is an absolutely perfect example of racist thinking. The fact that it comes from a black man should be no surprise whatsoever. Racism works both ways, and to give these ignorant men credibility due to their celebrity is to miss the point - and validate their racism.
" When a black man comes to Africa, he should not feel like a foreigner, because he has left his home and come to his home. It's your territory. It's your navel. It's your inspiration. It's your knowledge within wisdom". How is this not the most vicious, racist thing one could say? Of course a black American man is a foreigner in Africa, just like a white Amer. man. If I went to Germany, would I feel like I had "come home"? Well, I did go there, and it felt foreign, my heritage notwithstanding.
Just as there is no such thing as a collective or racial mind, so there is no such thing as a collective or racial achievement. There are only individual minds and individual achievements - and a culture is not the anonymous product of undifferentiated masses, but the sum of the intellectual achievements of individual men. AFT's statements directly contradict this and are therefore racist.
Try this: Racism is the lowest, most crudely primitive form of collectivism. It is the notion of ascribing moral, social or political significance to a man's genetic lineage -- the notion that a man's intellectual and characterological traits are produced and transmitted by his internal body chemistry. Which means, in practice, that a man is to be judged, not by his own character and actions, but by the characters and actions of a collective of ancestors. This is what AFT is spouting as truth.
It's a bit depressing that there are white people who feel that when black Americans acknowledge their ancesty they're racist. I've heard white Americans say "I'm Irish" or "I'm half-Italian/German" and nobody bats an eyelid. But if a black American says, "I''m African" he's racist. I think it goes back to a desire to culturally dominate so that any assertion of self-identity from blacks disturbs the mainstream. We're called everything from nigger to monkey but we DARE not name ourselves!
@76auth Thank you! Blacks are always oppressed by many of the other cultures. Not saying we're the ONLY oppressed race but we're the most oppressed race. We get belittled constantly. And if you look on YouTube there are many racists, most whom I presume to be white, who call us all kinds of names. That's why we're so strong and rugged, We learned to take the negative & fight back,
@cisseusa123 "We're belittled", "They call us names!" Let me get the violin out. You're weak and worthless - and so is your "argument". Tell it to the Jews. Tell it to the Kurds. Tell it to the Indians. Shit - tell it to the Homosexuals. Stop whining and get your sorry ass in gear...
@beeroosterm Your argument became invalid once you wrote your first sentence. Not only do you sound childish but you sound unintelligible. If you read my statement I clearly wrote "Not saying we're the ONLY oppressed race" just for morons such as yourself. Therefore YOU are weak and worthless for trying to argue with me whilst making yourself look like an idiot. YOU need to get your sorry behind in gear...
@cisseusa123 You're just another whiny racist looking for sympathy for your own shortcomings. The world is changing - we have a black President for Christ's sake! What will it take before people such as yourself take responsibility for their lives as opposed to blaming it all on whitey? After all, while our forefathers were busy making life miserable for your forefathers, it is us white guys (the majority in this country) who are busy changing the rules and making life better for YOU. Now quiet!
@beeroosterm You retard I don't care if we have a black president. I'm not saying we need compensation or that it's the white man's fault etc... I'm stating a fact. We ARE oppressed til this day. Does that mean we're gonna sit on our asses and do nothing? No. It's just a simple fact. Now go do something productive instead of acting like you provide everything for us blacks and are making life "better" for us, which in itself sounds stupid and ignorant.
@cisseusa123 Of course you don't care if there's a black president - it positively destroys your "arguments" and your ability to whine further in the cause of your racist attitudes. How are you personally oppressed and what is your evidence? BTW, since the white man is in the majority, it is they as a group who have changed the laws and worked to provide a level playing field for ALL, including electing a black president. You're a fucking racist no matter your color. Fuck you.
@beeroosterm Are you mentally ill? I'm the racist when you blatantly called Ali Farka Toure a nigger? Go sit down somewhere. And you wanna know how I'm personally oppressed? It's called racial profiling jackass. You probably wouldn't know about that. I don't need to whine or complain about a white man doing this or that or whatever. I actually detest people who do that. I was simply stating a FACT. I'm done arguing with you. You're a moronic hypocrite.
@cisseusa123 You couldn't even BEGIN to argue with me. Racial profiling - what a fucking joke. Anybody looks at you the wrong way and you think they're out to get you. You're a whiny dick. Show your "facts". Word.
@beeroosterm You fucking idiot. I hate people like you. I can more than argue with you. Based off of the contradictory nonsensical statements you've made even an elementary schooler can argue with you. And by the way I can't "show" you this fact you jackass. It's obvious that racial profiling exists and you're acting oblivious to the fact. That alone shows me how incompetent you are. Get a life you prick.
@cisseusa123 I fucking hate idiots like yourself as well. You're too fucking stupid to understand what racism really is and just piss out statements to the effect that you can make an argument - but never do. You just spew invective and whine like a pussy. Pearls before swine. Fuck off.
@beeroosterm Shut the fuck up you moron. YOU are clearly the retard in this case. You're clearly spewing bullshit and you're not educated enough to understand basic principles. So you fuck off you little whiny ass prick.
@76auth Who says that? Christ, all my life I've been listening to the black man whine about how the white man brings him down but I have only once witnessed an act that I would consider racist. When I was in 4th grade, a group of black kids bombarded our out of town school bus with rocks and called us "whitey" as we drove through a northeastern US city, breaking several windows and scaring the crap out of us. Racist?
When the first European settlers from England came to America they brought their culture. African slaves were forced into this framework of language/religion etc. Things that escaped this process cannot be explained except by looking to Africa. So AFT's talking about the spiritual and cultural link. I once saw an Afr show and thought "that's where that game we used to play as children came from"! We get no such insights from looking to Europe or America. Ancestrally, we're not their children.
@bamaceo59 The black Africans are doing a stellar job of killing their own and have been since time began. Read your history, look in the mirror, and tell me white men are all that troubles Africa...
There are no black Americans... There are blacks in America...What a load of racist horseshit! Who IS this asshole who makes blanket statements as if they are obvious truths only he knows? Good Lord, what a dick! And they're just copying all the old Delta blues players like everybody else and claiming it as their own because they have the same color skin. A crock of shit, I tell you...This is the kind of racist thinking that promotes tribalism - and therefore, death. Do not listen to this man...
@beeroosterm Where do you think the delta blues players got the idea for their music? Thin air? You're talking about a very old musical tradition, which has it's roots in west africa, particularily Mali. Ali Farka is not copying blues, he's playing traditional malian music which is the root of blues and therefore sounds like "the blues". This is the culture which has enriched American culture without ever getting any credit for it. Racist? you've got it all back to front.
The music I make... it's new. Tradition? Yes. The tradition is to reinvent, to renew, to explore. Ownership? Authenticity? Boring ideas.
But yes, I agree, the africans in America should get into their roots, the culture of their estranged brothers, and they should get into it as reclaiming that which was kept from them by slavery.
@bishopdante "Africans in America"? You mean black people? They are no more African than I am (a white guy born in the USA) People born in the USA are Americans, no matter their color. As for getting into their "roots", they should do what all others have done: listen to the music made by the famous Mississippi delta bluesmen and then be inspired. Their music was culturally inspired and living in the USA was part of their cultural tradition. There is nothing to "reclaim"...
It's sad to me that his comments about black Americans. Clearly he's proud of his culture and clearly the scars from the slave trade have not completely healed but claiming there are no black Americans is a bit naive at best. Sure they didn't choose to move to the US but that doesn't mean that they didn't turn it into their home over time and I can't imagine that black culture here hasn't evolved differently, uniquely, from African culture.
@joshisanonymous ...But black people have always been and still are second class citizens in America. All he is saying is that black americans are 100% african in spirit, so at least that's one place where they should not feel like outsiders. America may accept black people 64% but they are also 100% African so that makes them 164%!!!!....... which feels better than being a second class citizen in a society still dominated by whites.
@bsjunior Jesus, what a load of horseshit. Black Americans are NOT 100 percent African in any sense - except in your narrow racist mind. If a person is born here, he is an American. If he chooses to emigrate and become a citizen of another country, he is free to do so and will become a citizen of that country. But to state he is 100 percent African based on his DNA/skin color is as racist as you can be. Fucking whiny racist idiot...And your math skills suck, too...
@beeroosterm He's not saying blacks are african because of their skin colour, he's saying that they're african because of their cultural heritage, which shows through so strongly in the music. You may be deaf I don't know. You're certainly as ignorant as they come.
@bsjunior Fuck you, junior. You're as dense as they come if you don't understand the implications of what he says. Being American IS a culture of its own, no matter the color of your skin. To state an American black man's cultural heritage is African is to misunderstand the concept - and it's as racist as can be. Do you think a man born to Chinese parents in America is Chinese because of his cultural heritage? Word. And fuck islam!
@beeroosterm Being American is a culture? I don't think that big business capitalism is the same culture as the native american church. A board meeting at merryl and lynch has a very differnt culture to a native american peyote ceremony. Culture is not defined by nationality. Nationality and culture are not the same thing. Culture can travel across borders. If a chinese american speaks chinese then he is both chinese and american.
@beeroosterm We are writing English now. So both of us are operating within an English cultural heritage. This is so obvious that most people take it for granted. Africans lost their languages through slavery but held onto other aspects of african culture, like music. As Americans your language comes from the english, your music mainly african and irish, your sense of nobility and freedom from the native americans. Nice. The problem is that some of this heritage is aknowledged, some is ignored.

@axygreen The problem is with those who worship others no matter their obvious shortcomings. Like Cuntmar, you refuse to examine AFT in light of what he says - his personal opinions. As such, he is as racist as they come - as this video proves without question. That he doesn't recognize it as such is unsurprising due to the fact he is a tribalist through and through, which is why I put the Hitchens quote out there. What's your excuse?

@Leemo707 No. We just shifted to a different video to continue our "arguments". The more I learn about AFT, the less I respect his cultural perspectives - not that I respected them before. He is a primitive tribalist; worried about spirits and other such nonsense as this rant makes very clear. He obviously is poorly read and does not understand the concepts underlying American culture and its Constitution, And he doesn't know shit about John Lee Hooker..
beeroosterm 2 months ago
@beeroosterm 1. AFT haven't had the opportunity to go to school and yet it's crystal clear he's much more intelligent, knowledgeable and civilized than you (the cut-and-paste armchair intellectual) ever can dream of. 2. He played with JLH as an equal whereas you claim to have been a musician for 35 years and you even don't dare to show a second of your music on YT - a site full of music where you waste so much time humilating yourself by baselessly criticizing other people's abilities!

And he was not the equal of John Lee Hooker.
beeroosterm 2 months ago
@beeroosterm AFT doesn't need apologists and nothing is more human than having weeknesses. Nevertheless, despite the flood of comments you place on YT, you couldn't convince a single person, beast, plant or ET of your preposterous misconceptions. Quite on the contrary! Notwithstanding your self-annihilating claim to intellect, integrity, education, civilization...., you've only displayed ad nauseum you're a 24/7 unscrupulous, narcissistic, bigotted, malevolent, ignorant, professional moron.

And your racist observation about German-Americans just goes to show you STILL don't get it. Tell me: which Americans would not reach for the stars? You're an idiot.

@Cumar2000 You're the broken record, Cuntmar. It doesn't matter what anybody might offer to you as evidence of your folly. I will, however, continue to comment on AFT and his overt racist statements, which somehow pass over the heads of his fans. I think it applies to famous black musicians as well.

"Black Americans don't exist"? What a fuckin' asshole. With one short sentence, AFT insults an entire class of people who are proud to be Americans. Racist asshole. Can you really argue his point?
beeroosterm 9 months ago
@beeroosterm Toure cannot claim to speak for black Americans as far as self-identification goes, but he's as free as anybody to make cultural observations/theories. What's more, he might actually have a point...
I think you have to take it as a comment specifically on the role of music in ethnicity/culture - music is primal, so that even in the context of mass forcible displacement wherein people completely "lose" the intellectual refinements associated their culture, they "keep" their music.

There can be no other interpretation.
beeroosterm 9 months ago
@beeroosterm
Again, I am not an expert.
benjcole 9 months ago 5
@beeroosterm And for that matter, you didn't exactly respond to my point so much as you simply gave your own. So I have to ask, if AFT is a racist, was my comment also racist since it was partially intended as a defense of his views as they appear in this video? Am I wrong that he is saying something specifically about music?
benjcole 9 months ago 10
@beeroosterm Where are you getting that AFT is saying that the music is innate? I take AFT to be saying that African Americans retained their song. No one is sure exactly how the blues developed but no one denies its African roots. It would have been difficult for Africans sold into slavery, often separated from their family to retain their culture. However, retaining their music would've been easier as slaves sang while working the fields.

Your profile says you're located in Somalia - I would think these concepts would be important and obvious. But then I immediately remember you're indoctrinated from birth to think anyone outside islam is an infidel and should be ostracized/killed - and that all is lost, and then I pity you for your wretched life.

And fuck islam.
beeroosterm 10 months ago
@beeroosterm Just like your mentors, you try to refute AFT's clear denunciation of America's systemic discrimination against blacks/minorities by openly negating this racism, you constantly make xenophobic statements about nations/religions/races, you call individuals who politely send you (back) to school "fucking niggers" (even if they're white!), you worship inferior schizo-paranoid fascists ...! Of course you understand all about racism as you're clearly the only racist brat in the vicinity.

mantu777 11 months ago 11

And here in America, we DO venerate the individual - hopefully without letting the tyranny of the majority (PC jerks) ruin our lives...
beeroosterm 1 year ago
@beeroosterm And I am uncertain as to what you mean by the "church of the individual". In America, the rights of the individual are carefully outlined and guaranteed in an amazing SECULAR document called the United States Constitution - a document that is NOT written in stone, by the way. And Donne was correct - no man is an island. But as Rand stated: "The smallest minority on earth is the individual. Those who deny individual rights cannot claim to be defenders of minorities".

@beeroosterm
76auth 1 year ago 2
@76auth Good Christ, your post is...crap. For instance, I'm uncertain what your third sentence has to do with the first and second. The US put a man on the moon using the combined efforts of several hundred thousand people - whose combined knowledge, billions of dollars, and sheer will made it possible. What this has to do with America being "fallaciously hyper-individualized" in the real world remains unexplained. I suggest you learn how to write cohesively before you post comments. Proofread.
beeroosterm 1 year ago
@beeroosterm
76auth 1 year ago 4
@76auth I assume nothing about "black history". I go to the library and read and consult online sources with creditable backgrounds before I make decisions. @beeroosterm "the blacks left with their culture and they kept it" he is obviously referring to their artistic inspiration. "but the biography, the ethnicity, the legends they lost" the reason you neighbor would feel alienated in africa. he retains africa. it is part of who he is even if he lives in america. the hip hop beats that came around in the 80s all have percussion reminiscent of african tribes. this is what aft was saying and you sir are just too stupid to grasp it.
devrocks80 1 year ago 6

I call him on it - but somehow I'm the racist?
beeroosterm 11 months ago
This is an absolutely perfect example of racist thinking. The fact that it comes from a black man should be no surprise whatsoever. Racism works both ways, and to give these ignorant men credibility due to their celebrity is to miss the point - and validate their racism.
beeroosterm 1 year ago
" When a black man comes to Africa, he should not feel like a foreigner, because he has left his home and come to his home. It's your territory. It's your navel. It's your inspiration. It's your knowledge within wisdom". How is this not the most vicious, racist thing one could say? Of course a black American man is a foreigner in Africa, just like a white Amer. man. If I went to Germany, would I feel like I had "come home"? Well, I did go there, and it felt foreign, my heritage notwithstanding.
beeroosterm 1 year ago
Just as there is no such thing as a collective or racial mind, so there is no such thing as a collective or racial achievement. There are only individual minds and individual achievements - and a culture is not the anonymous product of undifferentiated masses, but the sum of the intellectual achievements of individual men. AFT's statements directly contradict this and are therefore racist.
beeroosterm 1 year ago
Try this: Racism is the lowest, most crudely primitive form of collectivism. It is the notion of ascribing moral, social or political significance to a man's genetic lineage -- the notion that a man's intellectual and characterological traits are produced and transmitted by his internal body chemistry. Which means, in practice, that a man is to be judged, not by his own character and actions, but by the characters and actions of a collective of ancestors. This is what AFT is spouting as truth.
beeroosterm 1 year ago
It's a bit depressing that there are white people who feel that when black Americans acknowledge their ancesty they're racist. I've heard white Americans say "I'm Irish" or "I'm half-Italian/German" and nobody bats an eyelid. But if a black American says, "I''m African" he's racist. I think it goes back to a desire to culturally dominate so that any assertion of self-identity from blacks disturbs the mainstream. We're called everything from nigger to monkey but we DARE not name ourselves!

Says ali farka in French playing the guitar.
The only constant is change, and we are all one.
Jazz is all new, hypermodern. Not african. Win.

@beeroosterm
well, there were people in the americas 15,000 years ago, but they were neither african nor european.
Lots of them are still around, they're americans.

It's sad to me that his comments about black Americans. Clearly he's proud of his culture and clearly the scars from the slave trade have not completely healed but claiming there are no black Americans is a bit naive at best. Sure they didn't choose to move to the US but that doesn't mean that they didn't turn it into their home over time and I can't imagine that black culture here hasn't evolved differently, uniquely, from African culture.
joshisanonymous 1 year ago
@joshisanonymous ...But black people have always been and still are second class citizens in America. All he is saying is that black americans are 100% african in spirit, so at least that's one place where they should not feel like outsiders. America may accept black people 64% but they are also 100% African so that makes them 164%!!!!....... which feels better than being a second class citizen in a society still dominated by whites.
bsjunior 1 year ago
@bsjunior Jesus, what a load of horseshit. Black Americans are NOT 100 percent African in any sense - except in your narrow racist mind. If a person is born here, he is an American. If he chooses to emigrate and become a citizen of another country, he is free to do so and will become a citizen of that country. But to state he is 100 percent African based on his DNA/skin color is as racist as you can be. Fucking whiny racist idiot...And your math skills suck, too...
beeroosterm 1 year ago
@beeroosterm He's not saying blacks are african because of their skin colour, he's saying that they're african because of their cultural heritage, which shows through so strongly in the music. You may be deaf I don't know. You're certainly as ignorant as they come.
bsjunior 1 year ago
@bsjunior Fuck you, junior. You're as dense as they come if you don't understand the implications of what he says. Being American IS a culture of its own, no matter the color of your skin. To state an American black man's cultural heritage is African is to misunderstand the concept - and it's as racist as can be. Do you think a man born to Chinese parents in America is Chinese because of his cultural heritage? Word. And fuck islam!
beeroosterm 1 year ago
