Get to this level of guitar playing and stop playing for a week, you just lost your ability to cleanly play what you could a week ago and have to practice hard for another week.

EVERYONE should realize that we all could play this way IF we could muster the discipline to practice the right way... not practicing the same crappy, easy "rhythm" parts and licks day after day after day... instead, learning to practice hard skills and keep pushing. Satch, Vai, Van Halen, Beach, Lynch, Moore, Timmons, etc. don't have a monopoly on great guitar playing. It's just that most are too lazy to devote the proper time to master the darned thing!
