ended up in this place one nite in 1993 compleatley by accident and probably spent the best part of the nxt 3 years there every weekend, have never been in any other venue as good as that one before or since some of my best nites out where spent in the 4 aces labrynth so sad seeing it now gone,
i first went in 95 and it became like a second home for me! made some of my best mates there and had some amazing nights! So sad to see it as a pile of rubble at the end of that clip.. that dirty little sweat box will always have a special place in my heart! =)

Clubs like this are no more and i am just so happy and proud to have been part of the era that was the UK rave scene. Amazing times. Venues like this and Bagleys, Stratford Rex, Club EQ, The Sanctuary, Adrenalin Village, Roller Express, Laserdrome. Promoters like Elevation, Labyrinth, Dreamscape, Moondance, Helter Skelter, Telepathy, One Nation. I went to more raves than i can remember. The feeling of when you started to come up ;) combined with the tunes and atmosphere. Truly amazing times.
My first venture into this club was in 1977 to listen to a sound called "Sir Fray Hi-Fi" and "Serge Hi-fi" play together. These were the local sounds in the area. I experienced a lot of big sounds in this place including some memorable Unity Hi-fi dances in here. A who's who of reggae superstars used to pass through.
This place (4 Aces Club) my parents used to frequent in the 60's, and then me (Club Labrynth-200AD late 80's early 90's.) I absolutely loved it. Hadn't seen a lot of people for 16 years, only to re live the experience once again for Labrynth REUNION 2009. Once again happy faces spreading the love. Shout going out to all those that attended. WHAT A NIGHT!
could not agree with fusion any more , place was the best rave days of my life , could not be touched , then when on my way home through hackney i see them taking chunks out of my old home , it burned me inside
Aamzing all of this 'cos I grew up with reggae and dub from the age of 15-18, then got into the rave scene for a good couple of years! Labrynth was the best ('93-'94). Words couldn't describe and almost a tear came to my eye seeing the rubble at the end of this clip. Big shouts to all those who came, danced, smiled and forgot. And thx for the posting of the clip!
Lol... always had people saying 'can you skin up for me mate?'... I used to oblige. Dangerous in winter, you were so hot you could sit outside for ages in like 0 degree temperatures!
I wouldn't doubt for a second mate that someone who loved this club wouldn't be happy to help another like-minded person out! :o) It was the rose amongst the thorns... A place for peace loving peeps to go crazy! It maybe gone but never forgotten.
Also some other info for ya ' The prodigy hade there first gig there :-) I should no i worked there '
