nirvana wannnabe's huh?fuck that.let music be music.nirvana didnt even start tyhat sound.and im a huuuuge mirvana fan.own everything relaesed and not released but dont a good band over a style of music.
I agree. However The Vines used to be a Nirvana cover band, exclusively. So obviously Kurt's music has been some sort of an influence. I would classify them as alternative psychedelic rock. But they are so much closer to grunge, especially live, than they are to the Beatles.
so they did that song to finish the set? cos i need to know what they do last sop i can crowdsurf when it comes on...just so i dont get chucked out before the last song.
Yeah, thanks for posting Splendour stuff. I was watching Josh Pyke when my friend texted me to say the "secret international act" was actually the Vines. She totally filled me in later about Craig going apeshit on the drum kit... but it's much better to see it myself :)
Hey SnootFrack, I hope Josh Pyke was good. I was going to check him out but I had a gut feeling that it was going to be The Vines... when they bought out the amps and the guitars I knew it was! Thanks for the comment, glad you enjoyed!

Um, Nirvana have a totally different sound to The Vines. Craig's influence is mainly The Beatles...
