Haha.
DRD and Arejayomgzor, I agree. TLA are disappointing in comparison, but I was into The Broadways so much before hearing them they could probably never measure up. Two albums full of songs that'll be timeless for the rest of my life.
The Honor System were amazing too, mainly when Nolan was in the band. I hope Dan Hanaway makes more music.
@FuelledByHamish, I definitely agree. I got into The Lawrence Arms before I had even heard about The Broadways or The Honor System, and for a long time I had liked TLA more than either bands, but for some reason I can relate to The Broadways' lyrics MUCH more. For some reason I never get tired of hearing any of their songs, no matter how much I listen to them.
@crassisdead When The Broadways’ lyrics really hit me, it was a big moment in my life. I know that sounds overdramatic but since I was a stupid(er) kid who had some vague ideas that things aren’t right but hadn’t really done any research or heard anyone else saying similar things, hearing them was something of a revolution. The fact that they weren’t completely political, but also fucked-up people somewhat like me (something even more evident in The Lawrence Arms!), was also a big factor in that
@crassisdead Only since I similarly put effort into listening to Propagandhi, and then got hit by their genius in one fell swoop, have I felt the same way about a band. Well, actually, I guess The Honor System were close too. Anyway, thanks for promoting an awesome band as always! :)
Man, Brendan Kelly has never been in a bad band.

This was one of the first songs I heard by the Broadways and it is one of my favorites.

So fucking good. Better than the Lawrence Arms, IMO.

I'd give the world for this band to play again.
