  • i would hear this a lot on one of my dad's CD's.

  • this piece is such a fun piece.

  • This is an Absolutley Amazing piece of music Thanks very much!!!!

  • Excellent!

  • excellent

  • Tally HO ! I have always loved this.

  • I would suggest that maybe you'll find it's Lowell Greer. If you listen closely, you'll hear hand stopping on some notes.

  • GET THOSE FOXES BOYS!

  • beautifully done!

  • If anyone is still wondering who the real player in this piece is, then it's Michael Thompson. You can listen to the full track on my profile. Thanks!

  • I hate foxhunt - any kind of hunting!

  • its lin jiang

  • Barry Tuckwell

  • can be hermman baumman!! u dont think so?

  • Alan Civil!

  • Brilliant! I love the tone - it sounds british, but its not Brain, I'm pretty sure.

  • I love this song! One of my favorite classical tunes.

  • Brian Howard and the Brass Group?

  • not eric ruske. i'm sure of it. if it is public domain it could be dennis brain. i bet it is farkas. or barry tuckwell.

  • I have access to over 40 different recordings of K495, so curiosty led me to compare against this mystery hornist.Virtually all of the renowned hornists are in this collection. There were several legends whom I could eliminate just based on my own knowledge of these players. Still, I listened to all of them.To my surprise, none matched! There are some which are very close.(continued)

  • ..There are some which are very close...tone character, tempi, playing style, interpretation, etc. So it's reasonable to suspect that a renowned player made an anonymous recording of K495, etc., for some extra income. One truth is obvious to seasoned players and connoisseurs of the horn...there are many masters of the instrument, and a very few supreme masters. The search continues.

  • i don't think its tuckwell. He massacres Mozart.

  • Peter Damm or is he, Timothy Brown?

  • of course its tuckwell....I own this recording, and he doesn't massacre mozart, he masters it.

  • I was thinking Eric Ruske...but I'm probably wrong

  • Could be! Sorry for all the confusion. The soloist is certainly a Master, whoever it is, don't you think?

  • Sorry. I had to choose from public domain recordings and the information is not always complete. I hope you enjoyed the show anyway.

  • isn't this dennis brain? kinda sounds like him....

  • Sorry to say, I do not know the name of the soloist. If I find out who it is, I'll be back in touch. Thanks for viewing.

  • Who is the soloist?
