Listen closely, that "crazy" part he does segwaying into the second part is just going down E aeolian in triplets. Very fast triplets, but it's easier than it looks. Keep at it man

Are you using the whammy? And if so are yo using an expression pedal because when mine is one octave up in the heel down it's off pitch but yours sounds right on

@EscalatingCollision as long as your wah pedal allows you to +1octave then u should be good as far as the tone it may sound different but as long as you can have a pitch shifter u should be good

the pedal that matt uses is a Digitech Whammy pedal

should cost u around $200 haha

and if u wanna get his distortion sound u buy a Zvex Fuzz Factory should cost around $180

thats pretty much it

he also uses a delay pedal but those two are the main ones

the one i use in this video is the Digitech Whammy set the octaves+1

The problem is that you're sometimes playing anything in the high frets, and during the tapping you play a wrong tempo at 0:39 to 0:44
