Bringing a politician back to basic points is a very effective technique to stop them avoiding the issue.

to me its sounds pretty damn boring to be a journalist in Al jazeera. if the press is the watch dog of democracy what is the point of the press in a monarchy like Qatar or Saudi arabia. where you can never even critsize any Arab leader or gov. Well he is of course based in England where he can say what he likes. This is, I admit, the only interview of his on this channel that I have seen. However I have seen him interview many high ranking British politicians as well as US Presidents including Bush.

He famously interviewed Richard Nixon whilst he was trying to make his political comeback after Watergate. Nixon had never admitted ny wrongdoing until that interview (when Frost managed to get it out of him).
