Boring is the wrong word. I meant to say repetitive. The underwater levels are good BUT its too much of the same thing over and over again. When i first played through the game i thought: won't it just stop so i can come to the ice levels for a change? At least 65% of the whole game concists of water.
Ok, repetitive is the right word. 40 Fathoms and The Deck were two great individual levels, but the Wreck of the Maria Doria and the Living Quarters were very repetitive.
Anyway, keep the legendary temple of Xian in mind! I think it's one of the best levels in the whole video game history.

Was this level in Anniversary? I don't remember Tomb of Tihocan being like this, it was more like the Cistern. Seeing this just shows how far Tomb Raider has come. Still a classic. Good job! I could never control this Lara after Anniversary Lara.
They did it like that as they made the starting levels easier and then fleshed the game out a lot in the second half, if they made it two seperate levels they would have had to fill up a lot of the new level with puzzles and obsticles that they had already done.

The only consistent hard part is the learning curve of the controls, after you get past that, beyond one or two areas, TR1 isn't really that hard at all (the sequels are another matter).
tomb raider anniversary is better and more enjoyable but this game make me feel nostalgic with the musics and its a shame that boss fight in TRA became interactive cut scenes i didn't like how pierre died too and how lara felt bad after killing larson he was supposed to be a texan idiot and in anniversary they made him a lot more smarter

I have Tomb Raider too but it's really old. It's I think the oldest one of HiSaturn. Nobody ever beats the game yet. Even though I'm not good enough to finish this kind of game, I'm just having fun watching your speedrun. It is like watching a movie for me. Thanks for uploading. You're awesome ^__^
hey MMAN2, i have the Playstation version of this game, and the last time i played this level i noticed that after you pull the lever, and the water current speeds u along, when i climbed out and killed the rat that was waiting, i noticed that my health bar was being depleted by itself and it didn't stop until i climbed on the block. weird, not sure if anyone else has experienced this.
good but i just realised its on pc which u can save every step then if u mess up u just reload but good anyway. I miss the days when tr was good (first 3). In my opinion Crystal Dynamics dont know the essence of the tr games and hav done a shite game in legend and dont get me started on A.O.D. Tr games were always about tight level design on a grid system, tight controls, slower pace with few action parts and lots of backtracking through the levels. Guess those days r gone forever :(
Classics? u mean the old ones? yes i guess and although TOMB RAIDER ANNIVERSARY'S levels are not as good as the first its the best one since 3 even if its a remake. Hope they remake 2 and the insanely huge 3 even if its not a 1:1 remake
i no what they use, they use the program to do slow motion,... i found out that, i saw a guy doing that, with mario world for snes... he took 11 minutes to finish the game...
Fastest time I got here, with all the secrets and not saving or dieing (not official, it just turned out that way) was 45 minutes :p lol. However, yours is fantastic. Great jump past the first swinging axe (brave!). I didn't think you'd make it when you jumped from the gorilla platform to the crevice! It's very exciting to watch. Nice pass through the boulder room. INCREDIBLE return through the snappy doors. A no-nonsense run through the level, very nicely done indeed.

In TRA they changed motion when Lara operates switch(lever) underwater, dunno why but TR1's motion is way better, IMHO.
