in my opinion as a photographer... low is getting a high low diafragm and a high focal range (just as real life sports photography ) and i like it more even though i have a crossx 6990 machine.

@siriusdarkstar Right! Is looks way better when the depth of field is small (aperture low). Our focus goes automatically to the subject and the background doesn't disturbs as like in the video. Maybe they should put in a depth of field setting the game graphics settings ;-)

Only difference I see is depth of field. This is very misleading because this leads people to believe the backgrounds are blurred. Depth of field is there to add a realistic camera effect.

@yanos626 True, but in my opinion I think for some games a lower setting is better. In de game in de vid for example I like the low depth of field. And some of textures look ugly when too sharp. The face @0:17 looked more realistic for me than the comparison @0:20! Too much ugly detail. In other games the details, shadows etc are more finished so it does look better on high graphic settings :) Speak for yourself! Cheers.

@majmado It gives a sense of perception... if you bring your finger close to your eye, then stare at your finger, everything else in the background goes blurry. It's the same with cameras, notice when they zoom in on a player taking a free kick or something, it usually looks blurry. (real life now :D)
