After being thoroughly disappointed with the so-called 'arcades' here in NE Ohio, and also after having my love for classic arcade gaming renewed by 'Chasing Ghosts' and 'King of Kong', I will be making the pilgrimage to Weirs Beach next summer for the annual tournament. Can't miss it. Won't miss it.
If you go on a weekday morning, yeah, it will be empty. Shoot a video of this place on a Friday night you will see the place pretty packed. i like going there when it's pretty quiet. I don't have to wait for any games.
i cant imagine what the electric bill is for this place. everytime i see vids for funspot noones ever there. now if this place existed in nyc then you'd see a huge difference.
Dr. MARIO !!Thanks for the info ENTERTAINMENT35 I really appreciate it! The arcade version is up for auction and starting bid $275 on EBAY for next 6 days.
Does anyone have any idea what the name of the arcade game is at 1:40 and 2:36-2:40 that plays that sweet sounding violin music that you hear played on this video?
i was in orlando in may and i could not find this i was at funspot international drive with the go kart track and free soda i heard there was 2 must of been the wrong one the other is at kissemee correct ? ?
Sort of. Heaven is a Place on Earth (lmao, i made a sort of aimless funny/belinda carlisle reference). but all in all, it might be both heaven/the "Pleasure Dome" of arcades
Just a suggestion, next time turn the camcorder exposure to manual, turn it down so the lighted parts of the games aren't so blown out. It is impossible to read most of the titles of the games due to them being overexposed.
To say impressive would be an understatement. The percentage of games working is unbelievable. Seriously though, is this place economically viable? or is it privately funded? Nice video.
Wow. I might have to make this trip too. Gameland in Lake Geneva, WI just went under, and they didn't have HALF of this selection.

Nope. This is the GOOD Funspot, the one in New Hampshire.

make that january 29th :-P
Nintendoom911 3 years ago
No matter how many videos of FunSpot I see on YouTube (including my own) none of them do the place justice.
You have to go for yourself just to see how amazing the place is. It's really like a whole arcade from the 80's was left frozen in time.
Can't wait for 2008's tournament! They've also got a surprise in store! See you there!

This is in a busy resort town in NH. In the summer there are thousands of people here, not to mention bike week.
