@TK42138 No, there's nothing to keep you from closing the door with one hand (using the electric powered pump). If the electric system fails, you have to use both hands. One hand to hold the hydraulic valve open, and the other hand to operate the manual hydraulic pump.
@uscar17 Thanks! It gets HORRIBLY annoying! Also, some of them are painfully loud. The warning horn is designed to be heard above the ship's main engines running. Then they put same horn inside the living quarters. Cover ears before operating the door!
I'm guessing both handles have to be used to prevent arms and legs well out of reach of the door?
